Reasonable food budget for four adults

Hi,
I was just wondering what others would consider to be a reasonable weekly food budget for 4 adults in a household.

OP posts:

I live alone and swear I spend £100 a week on food. So... £400? 🤣 If there were four of me in the house, I would just be buying four times the amount of food.

Oh, and I think what I spend is "reasonable" in that it's all whole foods (okay, I buy a bar of chocolate every week) and I consider it all a necessity. As much as I'd love to go back to 2019 when food didn't cost nearly as much, I don't think I'd like to restrict my diet.

We spend around £130 a week plus eat out at least once

3 of us eat meat 5/7 days perhaps, one is vegetarian so once a week we have veggie food though the other meat eaters aren't keen.

I’d say £100 a week if you’re all eating same dinners, and not including toiletries

We spend about £50 for 2 adults, all meals planned including lunches. Extra sometimes if we need a large laundry liquid or something

We are a couple with 2 adult children still living mainly at home but one or other of them is usually away or MIA staying at partner's etc so let's say on average we're feeding 3 adults continuously. I spend roughly £140 a week but don't really budget very keenly and that includes toiletries, cleaning stuff and bits for the dog - treats, dentistix and the odd toy. I'd say I could easily feed 4 on that if I was more careful/bought offers/was stricter with the kids about letting me know if they were in or out for dinner etc. thereby reducing waste. I think it's very tricky these days as everything's still going up isn't it?

We are more like 3.5 adults as DS GF here part of the week, we come in at about £120 per week. We eat well with meat or fish every day. Today chicken and chorizo kebabs with rice, peas, fruity couscous and salad. DS buys lunches when at work around half the week, DH takes lunch to work and tends to manage a fee lunch or dinner once every couple of weeks and we eat out usually once a week.
