Rent mortgage spends

What percentage of household income do you spend on rent/mortgage?

0% now.

but in the late 80’s mortgage and bills were 99% of income. So I got a weekend pub job, as I quite like eating.

it goes around and around over an economic cycle, so is predictable, and can be planned for.
