Rainbow surely that can’t be the right way to run a charity - that food was donated for needy people and not to be a ‘perk’ for salaried staff

@moimichme the decluttering continues Smile the only 'valuable' thing we have to sell is a sofa bed, which will make a big difference in terms of space in the house - I don't think we'll get more than £100 for it but better than nothing, which is what the rest of the clutter has been worth! I'm selling some of the DC's old toys for around £30 but that will go into their bank accounts anyway. The rest of it has been toddler toys which I might get £2 each for, tons of crayons, stickers, kids baking stuff etc; things they've definitely grown out of but which wouldn't fetch anything to sell, nursery may as well benefit as the DC had a lovely time there.

I've been reading up about TOMM and agree with lots of the principles - but stopping the inflow of 'stuff' is hard when MIL loves to buy bits for the DC! She is very kind and it's lovely of her to do it, but we just run out of room and then they have so many toys that they forget what they have to play with Sad

Hope you enjoy your holiday @Rainbow1901 !

I had a NSD yesterday woop. I'm poorly and can't leave the house but it still counts 🤣
I've ordered a few clothes online today for my toddler however I don't know if they will be suitable or fit her so I always count my spend for them the day I receive them.

You've reminded me that I need to buy school shoes for DTS2. @Andnowshesatoddler! No idea how he does it, but his are absolutely knackered only a few weeks into the new school term Sad

I might add it on to a new Asda clothes order, the DC could do with some new school socks too. Probably no NSD for me but a few boring bits are much needed!

Anyone still frugalling?!

We were doing ok until DP's work went through a bad patch - he's self employed but for years has had plenty of work on HS2. Of course that dried up very suddenly!! He's picking up bits and pieces of work but nothing permanent or as nearby Sad - he's considering Christmas temp work, again not as well paid, but better than nothing...

@moimichme did you manage to continue your frugal habits?
