Electric going off

What happens if you’re on a pay as you go metre, you can’t afford to top up and it runs out, you’ve had all the help you can get from family friends and EDF won’t help anymore. If you have children under 5, babies, are they allowed to actually leave you with no electric?

Yes they can, water can’t be switched off but electric can.

Have a look here, OP:

There's also a FB group that is really knowledgeable and can signpost to support. They also have their own energy fund to help people.

If your on prepayment it will just go off if you ring them they can top up it up. But you would have to cover how much they have topped it up be when you put money on. It's not free just an advance
