I don't usually buy pampers or at least I never did with my first but due my second soon and got a voucher for a free pack of newborn size 22 in a pack.

£4.45?! Confused seriously considering the reusable ones - does anyone have any good recommendations?

The market is slow for buying cloths that another baby has shat on?

😱

But due to a remarkable device called a washing machine, perfectly clean and safe to use.

If you're planning on using cloth nappies, you're going to be washing and reusing them dozens or even hundreds of times.

So your own baby will have 'shat on them' anyway. So what difference does it make if another baby has?

I would not personally want to risk the transmission of illness in faecal matter. Washing machines are not guaranteed to kill all the nasties.

And really having a baby is hard work enough without faffing about washing more shitty garments than you need to.

Updating because found Lidl sell size 1 for 85p

Just reading for curiosity. Mine were all in reusables, I haven’t actually bought disposable nappies since my sister was a baby and she’s 26 now. Actually sounds more reasonable than I thought it would be, but then still expensive when babies constantly wee and poop I guess.

reusable nappies are great and saved us a lot of money. You just need to be careful of the initial outlay and the cost of water, electricity, detergent etc these days. These have rocketed in price. We saved hundreds but now I don’t think the saving would be as great unfortunately :(

We tend to buy pampers when they are on offer I don't mind a pence or two more but when I can't find the pampers we go for Asda, we are in pull ups now but the tabby nappies were good too
