Electric Only Flat Tips for Cutting my Bill

I own a small flat. Everything is electric.
I am trying to cut my electricity bill, which is really difficult. I don’t turn on the boiler and boil water from a kettle when hot water is needed. The only room I heat is a small living room area. I feel the cold, so over the cold weather, I generally have an electric heater on for about an hour and a half a day. The shower is electrical, so it is turned straight off after a shower.
My teenage son and I are the only ones living here; he also feels the cold.
Apart from obvious things like closing curtains and blocking draughts, what else can I do to save on electricity? My bill is high.
I am on an average income, although I am a single parent. Are there any schemes particularly for those with no gas?
I would appreciate any tips.

How high is high?

Also 100% electric flat here. I find a draft excluder on the front door really helps - I just use a rolled up towel. Also shutting the doors on rooms that might have gaps to the outside - our kitchen does with the drain and so does our bathroom, keeping those doors shut helps preserve heat.

But realistically if you're not switching anything on there's not much you can do to cut back is there. Heating, hot water and cooking are going to be the things that are going to be expensive. What are you cooking on?

If you don't heat in the cold weather it will be cold regardless.

Have you tried heating yourself rather than the flat? Electric blanket, hw bottles?

Electric blankets and heated throws are much cheaper to run than heaters and will warm you directly rather than pumping heat into the air to be lost.

Have you thought about one of the tariffs like Economy 7 ? Heat the flat up and do all the washing etc at night and use as little electric as possible during the day.

Keep the showers short is another good tip for saving money.
