Bill is in for December £285. ouch!!!
2 up 3 down. Heating on couple hrs in morning then a couple at night, cold snap we did have it on longer and Christmas break it was on a little more. Still it's gonna hit my savings

Are you in a terrace or detached? I am wondering as we are Victorian mid terrace, 2 bedrooms 2 reception rooms.

We had heating on 7am to 11pm at 19 every day in December yet our gas bill for actual useage was £174 ( 1581 kWh).

It's a detached with a flat roof, so upstairs takes a bit longer to heat. Also we are waiting to have our windows replaced

That explains it then thanks

Just got my bill for December...around £300.
Not a surprise as I could see the smart meter reading every day 😔
And my house is a lot colder and more draughty than I realised, when the heating isn't on so much and its -6°C outside 😂

Victorian mid terrace, boiler broke 13 years ago, no money to replace plus it can't be replaced in location due to different health and safety laws since original was installed, so no hot water or heating. Thankfully have an electric shower, only heat from a 2kw fan heater, which broke on me a few days ago so nothing now.
DD for electric is £75 a month, and gas £10 as only the hob uses it. According to supplier i'm "on track" and don't need to up DD, as got the £150 warm home discount and over £400 in credit atm.

4 bed detached in Scotland - £380 (£230 was gas)

Ours ( 1870s semi) was 210£ for December ….but with the £67 deduction , I thought that was ok considering the price hikes…..had the heating on loads 23rd to 28th cos my Mum was here…..but apart from that , mainly the log burner ( we get free wood)
