Confusion over benefits increase?

Apologies if I sound really thick but I am a full time carer for my severely disabled husband and I'm struggling to work out the benefits increase. Will the carers element of universal credit also be increased by 10.1% and we get a very small amount of "housing element" only £8 per month but I wondered if that would rise too?

Also, does anyone know if the limited capability for work part of universal credit will rise by 10.1% too? I've looked online but can't find any of this information.

As far as I have seen, for a ft carer everything but the housing element is rising.

Income dependant UC, DLA/PIP and carers.

(so as far as I can see, that includes the LCRWA)
(don't hold me to it, mind - I'm just passing on what I have read on here)

Thanks for the reply. I've just checked Martin Lewis site and you are correct, it appears Limited capability for work and carers element will also increase, according to him. I don't want to appear greedy and I'm extremely grateful for the increase with prices, bills etc rising.

I'm not getting my hopes up too much, yes it looks good right now - but we have a few months yet. Could be £15 for a cauliflower by April 😬

Eightiesgirl · 20/11/2022 20:08
