Ovo - getting refunded twice?

Can anyone explain this to me? My ovo energy bills take the £66 off my bill, all well and good. But I've also noticed 2 amounts of £66 being credited to the account my direct debit comes from? Anyone else the same?? Am I missing something?

EDF add the amount to your account, then refund it, therefore removing the credit from the account. You shouldn't have a balance increased by £66 AND a refund to your bank, it increases briefly, but is refunded straight back.

Ovo have what seems to me an odd way of setting out the £66. Each time I log on, have to think it through, as it seems so counter intuitive. But actually correct.

They credit the £66 into your Ovo account. In a very unstraightforward way, as they don't show it as a credit, but put it against the charges for electricity, so show them as a 'positive' figure(until you've used more leccy than £66).
Then they refund the £66 to your bank, and this is shown as a deduction from your account.
This works correctly- they give your Ovo account the £66, and your Ovo account then refunds it to your bank.
It's confusing. Even as I'm writing this, part of me is thinking, hang on, £66 credit to my Ovo acc, and give £66 back, that can't be right. But it is, because the £66 bank refund you get also shows on your Ovo acc as a debit.

Clear as mud? But also correct.

I've had 2 x £66 sent to my bank cc Oct and Nov.e

Thank you! That explains it - I think!
