Anyone bulk buying food?
With inflation and the pound tumbling the prices are only going to rise so thought it might be good to stock up whilst prices are manageable

I have done this for years - ever since I had a house with a bit of storage room. If anything we bought regularly was on special offer and I could store it, I would buy as much as I could. I don't do that so much now because nothing much I buy is reduced - especially in Aldi/Lidl. But I do like to have a store of cleaning stuff, toiletries, baking goods, pasta, rice etc ... just so that if we're ill, if there are shortages for any reason or if we are just stuck for whatever reason, we have what we need.

Now, with online shopping, it's not so necessary, but I was glad of a store when lockdown hit us.

I've always done it as we lived in poverty as a child. It's like I'm scared to run out. As the previous poster says, I was terribly glad I'm like that during lockdown!

Not really bulk but I buy things when on offer.

Yes, I am doing this to a degree. We are a low income household, so it makes sense to think ahead and try and prempt future needs.
