Flufffy onesie or oodie type thing?

Which is better for kids? We don't have any fluffy onesies so I wanted to try those as they are whole body. But everyone is going on about oodies and kuddlys. Are they warmer? They only seem to cover some of the lower body. Also i would have thought young boys can unzip the onesie when they need a wee compared the faff of a oodie?

Grateful for any advice

We've got both and all prefer oodies. If it gets too hot you take it off, and put your legs through it with your feet in the hood. It covers your knees when sitting down.

There are cheaper makes - the dunelm ones were good I bought some for gifts last year. Our oodies are on the third year and going strong - think it worked out about £38 each as I bought in bulk.

Onesies are great, right up until you need to go to the toilet or get changed etc..

Then you basically have to strip off in the freezing cold.
They don't usually have enough room for much in the way of layers under them & kids can grow out of them.
With the hoodies, you are less likely to have to replace as often.

With the big hoodie things, you can add/remove layers under it if you need, even change clothes inside them if you get oversized ones, tuck your feet up when sitting down so all of you is covered.

I got this one recently which is really snuggly & has the sherpa lining (it's actually a sort of double sided fabric, outside is fleece, inside is sherpa )
It's a good price at the moment & there is an extra 15% off making them about £28 for the oversize, so I have just purchased one for each of us - they fit my twelve year old & adults, that size would be too big for primary kids I think.

I've never had an Oodie, so can't compare the brands, but we're really happy with the ones we have (have got others which were nowhere near so warm which we are donating so we just use these ones)
