Family of 3, 1 adult, 1 teen, 1 primary age child. What size would suit our family please?

Get the biggest one you have space for. I have the large one, but not the deluxe extra large, and even with just 2 of us I could use more drying space.

It might depend on how much you cram into a wash though (I probably overload my machine) and what sort of clothes you wear. You'll get a lot more T shirts onto them than longer dresses, for instance.

Get the cover, I'd wait now and keep checking QVC for it. They generally come with the cover, some nets for the shelves, which we use constantly.

Oh, I haven't seen nets for the shelves - I'll check Lakeland. Definitely get the cover.

We don’t have the cover but throwing a bed sheet or two (whether wet or dry) over the top and sides of the whole thing seems to make ours dry things incredibly fast — so much that I hesitate to spend on the cover.

Cover may be even better and no doubt looks neater, but if your budget is tight, I’d say spend it on the largest size airer you can stretch to and save on the cover.
