totally confused.. wonder if someone could help? Have lightbulbs that could be traditional ones but may not be. They say 7w-220-240v.
How would I know the difference?

Can find absolutely nothing about it on Amazon or Google...

I'd assume they're 'modern' ones. 7w will be either a bright LED bulb or a ridiculously dim old incandescent one. Typically 'the big light' was a 60w bulb, with lamps at 25w.

There was the intermittent style 'energy saving' bulbs that took a week to warm up to full brightness and they were about 12-15w from memory.

So I vote new LED type.

Thank you! Was wondering if I needed to change most of the overhead lights..x

In most cases, any household bulb under 10W is generally going to be a modern and eco-friendly one.
So it might not be worth buying a new bulb to downgrade a 10W to a 7W for example, depending on how cheap you can buy them for and how long you leave the lights on for.

Old fashioned bulbs are 40W - 100W, with some outdoor security lights being up to a mammoth 500W.
New modern bulbs nowadays are around 6W - 10W, with outdoor security lights being 20W - 30W. Anything in this range is great!

They will be eco 7W bulbs, when put in a circuit that is at 220-240V. I think that is most of Europe. The US opperate on 110V.

A photo might help one of us with whether their modern or not.

Alternatively, do you have a store that sells lighting locally. They might be able to help.
