Utility bill suddenly in credit report

Wasn't sure if this was better in Money Matters or here but this seems to be better for people working to pay off debt.

I am paying down my final debt of a credit cards I'm down to £1000 and this will be paid off by October. I've got a credit report through credit karma and was really upset this morning to see my "score" with them has just dropped by about 10 points. I think this is because suddenly my water bill is listed in my utilities and that I owe £189. This has never shown on my credit history before and is the same amount as my annual bill which has been on a direct debit forever. I've checked my water account and that shows as being paid on the monthly DD. I'm on a fixed bill not a meter.
Does anyone know why this might have suddenly started showing as a debt? I'll try to get hold of United Utilities in the morning but is this a publicised change of policy anywhere?

My water bill as always shown a debt in credit Karma. I have an excellent credit rating with them so I've never questioned it. I guess because, yes in theory, I "owe" them that because I pay my water bill monthly, as I do my council bill, but the later doesn't show as a debt.

My water bill, gas, electric and mobile sim only bill shows on my credit score.
I have a very good credit score nowadays but they have always shown over the years but never as a negative just as a credit

www.unitedutilities.com/globalassets/documents/pdf/guide-to-data-sharing-factsheet-web-acc18.pdf - if you have not seen it, this is from United Ulities thesmelves about the reporting to the CRAs.

Regarding it showing off as a debt - the best bet would be to contact United Utilities themselves and ask. If you have paid all of your bill payments on time, there might be a mistake done in the reporting process. It's best to contact them and figure it out as soon as possible as having this debt on your file can decrease your credit score.
