Universal credit and maternity pay

I've posted a similar thread before, but can't find it now and had more questions 🙈

Can anyone tell me what universal credit payment I should expect when my pay drops to statutory maternity pay only? I'll have 2 children and live at my parents (husband left at 24 weeks pregnant!).

I'm just trying to plan my money and I have no idea what to expect!

I know nobody can give me an exact figure, but just wondered if anyone had any clue at all?

My employers contribute towards my pay for 12 weeks and then it drops to SMP only for the remaining months!

Can you claim UC if your still employed? I would have though (could be wrong) that your SMP is all you get?

www.gov.uk/maternity-paternity-calculator this could help OP.

Try the benefits calculator at turn 2 us, OP. @Undomesticgodde55, lots of people in work claim UC because it replaces housing benefit and tax credits for those on low income including low wages.

@WutheringShites86 ah ok I wasn't aware hence why I asked the question.

Thank you!
I used the entitled calculator and it suggested £795 UC with My SMP inputting in it. I wasn't sure if this was accurate though.. I seem to read SO many conflicting things online!
