Budgeting app

Can any recommend a budgeting app? I want to be able to record all my spends so I can see where I can cut down to pay off my credit card.

YNAB. Changed my attitude to money completely.

I just use an Excel worksheet. Group spends into Food including toiletries, nappies etc. and others eg. clothes, entertainment, non essentials.
Try and sort your non utility spending into weekly amounts.
Have got this info off a You Tube channel, can't remember which one though!

I use Toshl,, it’s free for the basics, ie just tracking. , but you have to pay if you want to add more accounts.

It really changed my finances, I know where everything goes and flung it motivates me to save.

I’ve tried budgeting other ways before but for me this time it’s really stuck!

Do any of these apps connect to a bank account?

YNAB does so that's the one I've gone for. Is it worth the £75 after the trial?

@IheartCaptainHolt it only connects to US bank accounts sadly!
I'm just coming to the end of my trial and wondering whether to pay up- I really like it and would really miss it, but we are skint and would probably have to carry the balance on a credit card- which seems a bit beside the point really!!!

You can download your bank transactions into a .csv file and import into YNAB.

I've found the link for the 3 month trial so hopefully that's long enough for me to decide if it's worth it.

Maybe best if I have to input everything manually as it'll make me look carefully at what goes out (and not doing that is why I'm in this position I guess!)

Yes- that's one of the things I like! You can enter recurring transactions which helps too
