Time to get a new broadband provider... Advice needed

Sky router is playing up and they always troubleshoot the same solutions. Reset, change router channel etc. I'm still getting 2 green lights and an amber light on the @ symbol.

I want unlimited broadband but don't really want to wait to get it setup, we're very relent on Internet for our eldest ASD son.

Any tips on where to shop and prices... Much appreciated

My sky router was also sick. They insisted it was our line. Switched to plusnet, problem solved.

Switching is quite easy, the new provider will do it for you. It will take about a week though, they need to post you the router. Be aware phone and internet will be out for some of the day.

Cross reference Cashback deals on quidco/topcashback with the results of a price comparison website.

If quidco offers higher cashback than topcashback then tcb will price match, I've had more luck with cashback being paid from them.

Don't move to BT!

Plusnet seem quite good to me.

I'd look at moneysavingexpert to get an idea of what deals are available.

We moved from TalkTalk Hmm to Plusnet. They have been pretty reliable.

Like that don't move to bt. But bt owned plusnet are okay.

I switch every year currently with bt who paid me £280 to be with them for a year.

Have been with bt, plusnet, talktalk, southern electric, EE, and various others.

To be fair found them all to be much of a much ness. Currently paying £28 per month for unlimited broadband and phone with bt. So ineffect getting 10 months free. Will switch again once the deal is up and see who's offering the best deal.

Never really had many issues switching and never yet found a good deal with sky but then again not interested in their TVs and for some reason our area doesn't qualify for most of their deals.

I know that BT own Plusnet.

But in my experience Plusnet have been v good. BT have been terrible.

I'm sure we all have different experiences, but I don't get what's so wrong about sharing them...

Just changed from BT Infinity to Vodafone - bill used to be £65/month - that included phone calls. New deal is for the same speed and £30 a month for 18 months and a really good free gift - we will get a sonos costing around £200 but there are others, available for a limited time. The calls are expensive but all our mobiles have unlimited free calls - the change over happened on one day - we were without internet in the morning - all up and running by 11:30.

I think the only company we haven't been happy with is BT, it's a bit too slow.

Changed from sky to plusnet - do use Martin Lewis' broadband switch guide as it sets it all our foe you.

Was very easy and am saving £20 a month for (so far) better service!

I really didn't get on with plusnet. The telephone support was terrible ( massive queue, 'log in online') er, that would be good if the internet was working! Then when I wanted to leave to go to Virgin I was charged a fee even though the contract had ended, as I was changing system (I got the impression that if I'd switched to BT at that point there would not have been a charge)
