Which delivery saver plan?

We don't have a car and it's a schlep to the nearest supermarket, so we've used the Tesco delivery saver for our weekly shop for the last couple of years. It's been fine, but it's up for renewal now and will cost a bit more this year, so I'm wondering if it's worth shifting to another supermarket for deliveries?

• We don't buy meat or dairy and 90% of the time buy own-brand, unless there's a special deal.

• Asda is out as we've had nothing but bad experiences with their delivery service in the past.

• Morrisons is an option.

• Aldi or Lidl are cheaper, I know, but they're just not manageable for us.

If our priority is the most affordable supermarket for own-brand, should we stick with Tesco? Or should we consider one of the other delivery services?

We have a Tesco deliverysaver and it works well for us. I have used Ocado in the past and had a delivery saver with them for a year. They are not as expensive as you may think and often had good deals on.

If I were you I'd have a look for a groupon type deal which Ocado do every now and then for a cheap delivery pass. If you can get one, try it otherwise Tesco is not bad value.

I always order from Sainsbury's, especially because you can find a voucher online that gets you a £20 off on your first shop if it's over £60

I usually try to keep our delivery below £60pw, so the various vouchers are, alas, less relevant to me! Just wondering which store is likely to be cheapest for fruit and veg and own brand stuff overall? Suspect you're right, Giraffes, and we're best sticking with Tesco.

I use Morrisons, think it was £40 delivery pass. I order weekly and driver is almost always at the beginning of the 1hr slot. Might just be my area though.

They offer to bring it in for you and very rare almost never have missing items. App is good too. Customer Service has been good when item online was incorrectly described. Olives had Pitts, they respnded and refunded really quickly.

Ocado do delivery saver, mine's free for a year, and price match to Tesco's.
They have loads of free delivery slots here and I love it! Also give you 5p/carrier bag, including those from other stores.

I use Morrisons, £40 for 6 months, minimum spend £40. Only had one late delivery (about 15 mins), and only 2 disasters (squashed cake and burst sausages).

Can use any delivery slot available, app is great. Highly recommend it.

Sainsbury's passes are £60 per year (for deliveries at any time during the week) or £30 per year (for deliveries mid-week only). One hour slots, minimum spend of £40. I really rate mine - very few substitutions, no problem with refunding...if one egg is cracked, you get the whole box for free. You also get advance notice of Christmas booking slots which is handy .

I've been shopping in both Tesco and Sainsbury's recently and haven't found much price difference between the two - I used to think that Tesco's was always cheaper but I don't think it is any more.

You can use your Clubcard points t double up and pay for delivery saver. So £30 in vouchers gets you a year (or it did last time I signed up )
