NK - hope your stepmum is doing okay. I've been thinking about you all.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 15/05/2015 18:26

NSD. Work is crazy. I am on day 6 of the 30 day shred (crazy work out dvd by Jillian Michaels) and also Not Snacking Ever Again in effort to lose some weight.

Nothing else to report Grin

Flowers to NK and all with ill relatives or struggling

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/05/2015 18:41

Am I right in thinking that this is HA? And that means you can decorate etc?.

If you look on the moneysavingexperts websites weekly email I'm sure their advertising free loft lagging and a John Lewis voucher. I'd bet it's only got 4 inches not 11.

1950's might be cavity wall, you can try looking to see if anyone's doing free cavity insulation. That just leaves windows and a thick thermal curtain might sort that out. Brush draught excluders are cheap and easily screwed on doors.

You'd need the current suppliers to change the meters. You don't have to heat all the rooms.

We use the halogen all the time, what I don't put in there I slow cook. Dh puts the main oven on when we have fish and chips to warm the plates. Makes me stabby.

Free insulation. Unless you live in NI.

Your going to tell me you're in NI, aren't you?.

CremeEggThief · 15/05/2015 19:19

Nope. County Durham.

Thanks very much again, Fluffy Smile.

ItalianWiking84 · 15/05/2015 19:30

AuditAngel · 15/05/2015 21:15

I have had a ridiculous day today.

Tomorrow night I am meeting up with some school friends, I have to take a starter and some salad. so I persuaded DH to make a spinach Spanish Tortilla. I dashed to Tesco St 7.30 with DS to get onions, eggs, and some pain au chocolate for breakfast. We forgot the eggs. £5 ish.

Went back to Tesco, got DS to buy 12 eggs about £3.

Lunchtime, got done got stuff in Boots, £10, into Tesco, bought some reduced Eco logs 2 packs of 12 for £2.50 each, plus some half price Oreos, 2 bottles of squash for work (cheaper than buying fizzy drinks each day) 4 half price lol on deodorants plus a dream deodorant (£5) total was £19

Collected my currency for trip/holiday, collected my Tesco click and collect.

Di'm going away on Sunday morning. I have every intention of drinking lots of wine. I don't know many Italian wines, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco and sforsat.

I'll probably manage Grin

AdoraBell · 16/05/2015 02:53

Just popping in to say I haven't abandoned frugaleering. Packers have been here all week, we now have a garage full of boxes and an almost empty house. Ended the week with £3 left from the food budget. Will cath up later.

lilacclery · 16/05/2015 06:58

Wow you guys have been busy!

Dh used to work in a carpet & timber flooring place. Use underlay everywhere great for insulation & reducing noise also. Congrats on the house

We went to milanos for first time last night, inspired by a 40% off voucher I got in a free newspaper last time I stayed in hotel, this had eexpired so got a code from their website for 25% off instead. €52 for 3 courses & a very large class of pinot grigio for me. Paid for this from my extra income from the extra class I did this week, pleased to be finishing up with that class in two weeks as its 45 mins drive away but taking on a different one 20 mins away. I will for next six weeks be working 5 days 7/7.15-5.30 plus the odd Sat morn & 3 evenings per week Mr Tesco will definitely benefit as I won't be going to town doing grocery shopping. Should keep my spends down.

Just ordered ink for my printer & to avail of cheaper delivery got a few other bits I've been putting off was still shy a couple of € so got 24 pencils 4 erasers & 1 sharpener with collection bin for use at home for dd starting school in September! No doubt they'll need jumbo kids pencils starting off but she'll progress to the ones I bought in time

Having an afternoon to myself today, getting my hair done & putting up posters for my classes so will get some exercise to work off last night. Going to pick up super 6 items in aldi & get remainder delivered by Tesco tomorrow using my free delivery code, have one more to use by June 4th, I'm being cheeky & using the dear Sunday slots which I'd never normally use!!
I lost 2lbs this week & if I continue with this I'll be at target for September workshop of my slimming franchise.
peonies is nutribullet juicing helping you to lose weight?

babsmam · 16/05/2015 07:16

£8 today for beavers camp. Should be it. Will need to get a shop ordered for the week ahead. Will sort that this weekend

Pointlessfan · 16/05/2015 07:32

Congratulations on the house - great news!
Had NSD yesterday but today won't be. As well as the supermarket shop we are getting DD her first shoes (really excited about that actually!) and we have to buy a new kettle and might get a new wash basin too. We are also starting to think about summer holidays so it could be a very spendy day!

NK5BM3 · 16/05/2015 07:41

Hi everyone
Thanks for your thoughts. It's not good. It's going to be a lot of rehab and it looks like it's going to affect her physical movements. Cognition is still there but my brother sent me a photo and it didn't look good.

Dad is trying to organise things. It will mean splitting them up I think. I'll ring home when I'm back in the uk and see what we can do.

I'm still in Prague. Will check out soon and head to airport. Didn't spend the last couple of days as was cooped up in hotel. then went to town, did a walking tour and bought some things for the family. About £40.

AuditAngel · 16/05/2015 07:49

N5 sorry it isn't better news.

Lilac my DD2 starts school in September too, to be honest she was ready last year, but she was born mid October (but should have been mid November).

I need to get eye drops today for my trip (I wear extended wear contacts which means I wear them at night too, then one comfort drop in each eye every morning). Will probably get some fresh bread for lunch, DS has rehearsal today 10-4 then open air cinema tonight, DD2 has swimming, DD1 has a sleepover including the open air cinema.

I need to get some cash out so the older 2 can take some pocket money with them, and for my airport cab tomorrow

Passthecake30 · 16/05/2015 08:02

Nk sorry it's not better news, hopefully rehab will work, with my dad it definitely seemed that he wasn't as bad as first thought (his voice and mobility improved over time)

audit how long do you wear your contacts for? (Nosey, never heard of sleeping in them)

Nsd except for a prescription charge yesterday. Someone took me out to lunch in return for picking my brains. ..
Still waiting for unconditional offer so that I can hand my notice in. References were done tues/wed so fingers x for next week. ..SO looking forward to not commuting.

Today the kids have their last swimming lesson with their teacher who is off to join the Marines. Need to buy a gift, no idea what? Also going to friends 40th, we were best mates at school but now only see each other once a year I guess...also need gift for her, might take lazy way out with flowers. ...?

ItalianWiking84 · 16/05/2015 08:57
