I am hoping to have 3rd nsd in a row today, have had lots of picnics out at free parks , meeting friends, and slowcooker meals this week. I am taking dc's to the beach with their scooters later , we will come home for ice cream. I need to organise some shopping for next week though, I've been given a free ocado delivery pass so might do a £40 shop with them , 3 for £10 meats and bogof gammon joint, and order a veg box from someone as keep getting bombarded with offers on facebook. Packed lunch stuff I will stock up from pound land and aldi.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 17/04/2015 10:26

£14.98 cat food and an impromptu picnic yesterday.

Just spent £96 booking my birthday party.

I'm not having a frugal week at all to be honest.

Need - so sorry about the robbery, there have been lots here too.

girliefriend · 17/04/2015 16:15

Nsd - at last Smile

Dd back from camp, she had a great time Smile plus spoke with SENCO lady at her school and am finally getting an O.T ref for her sensory issues. Hope they are as helpful as everyone has said they are!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/04/2015 16:33

£75.22 on food shopping. Annoyed because I doubled up on a couple of bits.

Girlie hope OT can help Smile anyone we've seen for dd (physio/neuro/ot) has always been great.

AdoraBell · 17/04/2015 17:31

girlie I hope they are helpfull

Hope you enjoy your nice long shower need

Makeawish if you want to re-educate your cat's palet you could do what I did with one of my dogs. After too many scraps brought home from restaurants or BBQs she decided she only eats steakHmm so I kept offering her just the dog food until she was hungry enough to cave. Although I've been told not to make a sudden switch so I would mix something else with the Whiskas, gradually reducing the amount of Whiskas until the other food is established.

Had to get petrol this morning, I was coasting around on fumes, so that was £35 on the joint acc and 50p out of the grocery budget for a tip. They do the filling and clean the windscreens and offer the check the oil etc, so a 50p tip really isn't much.

Fellow frugaleers, I have kept this quiet because I didn't quite dare believe it would happen.

As long as no one has a tantrum we will be returning to Blighty in a few short weeksShock but we haven't sold this house yet so money will be tighter for a while.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/04/2015 17:38

Wow adora! I'm surprised at how excited I am Grin which part of the country will you be coming to?

Poor dd(4) had an awful diarrhoea accident at school today. Seems fine though.

makeawish2 · 17/04/2015 18:12

That sounds a good idea Adora. I will try that...will have to learn to ignore the way my cat turns his nose up and looks unimpressed when I try something else. Adora good timing to move as we actually have some sun ;) Should have been a nsd but got a pizza takeaway ;( rarely do.
Tewi a party sounds fun ;)

girliefriend · 17/04/2015 18:36

makea will your cat eat cat biscuits as well?

My cats are a bit fussy but luckily for me only for Morrisons own brand wet food!! I only give them one sachet a day though but they have a ready supply of cat biscuits if they want!!

makeawish2 · 17/04/2015 19:03

He does eat biscuits sometimes girlie ...I think I will try giving him to them a bit more often ..as whiskas at £6 p.w. (and Thats when on offer) he has expensive taste ;)

AuditAngel · 17/04/2015 19:04

Thanks for the nice comments on the SPDC.

Welcome Makeawish2

Yesterday NSD (because I had lunch ready from Wednesday. Today £5.29 on lunch plus £90 on a sailing course for DS. This is his 3rd course, he has his RYA level 1 and this is an improves course. He loves sailing, which we are encouraging as he isn't really sporty (despite the dancing)

Fluffy you did make me laugh about the re-arranging!

Adora which part of the country are you coming too? Have you looked at schools etc yet?

Will be a spendy weekend, need to buy DD1's sneaks for 1st communion. I suspect she and DD2 may need new shoes Sad

Going to inspect my credit card bill. A bit more than normal (a lot, but by the amount of the flights), £275 to come back from work expenses, included theatre tickets, but need to check what else.

makeawish2 · 17/04/2015 19:05

Girlie 1 sachet a day of own brand is very impressive !! Mine has 4 :( cat biscuits seem to be the way to go . thanks for the info ;)

AuditAngel · 17/04/2015 19:09

That should be nice comments on the DC!

AuditAngel · 17/04/2015 19:10

Our cat has one sachet for breakfast, biscuits for lunch and chicken breast for tea

Brokentopieces · 17/04/2015 19:17

Yesterday was a NSD and today was 1 euro on a cold treat for dd.

babsmam · 17/04/2015 20:05

Ha hah hahaha maniacal laughter at the lack of frugally here. Might just give up and see you all in may.
28 on dog food, 12 in the range on loo rolls and party present for a party on Sunday.

41 on beavers uniform
1 on the lotto - here's hoping!

babsmam · 17/04/2015 20:06

Ooo yes adora, spill where in the UK are you coming back to

girliefriend · 17/04/2015 20:09

Chicken breast Audit? Lucky puss, we only eat chicken breast occasionally as it is so expensive Grin I do get the more expensive biscuits though, currently Wainwrights which was on offer for 2 bags for £16. That will last them a month maybe (2 cats) Boy cat currently curled up next to me Smile

Trying to work out what I spend on food for them a month, I reckon approx £21 a month for both of them, not too bad?

Sixforgold · 17/04/2015 20:12

babs joining you in the manical laughter...very spendy week here (I've bought lunch every day and been out for food/drinks twice Shock - i blMe first week back)

audit you softy! Lucky cats! We don't currently have a pet after our old Tom died a couple of years ago. I want a guinea pig. DH says no (negative GP experience as a child!)

need your experience sent shivers...what utter b@$tards.

Stressful week of wedding planning (mother + invites)

Amazingly I haven't spent much on groceries due to a well stocked freezer - think I need to do more batch cooking as its kind of balanced out the rear of the overspends!

Laska42 · 17/04/2015 20:20

my cat eats 4 sachets of whiskas a day! (no biscuits )he has no teeth!.. he is a pig really i think have tried to feed him less/ other stuff, wont have it and it all gets thrown away

Need and spotty Flowers
NSD for me but DH is having a rare night out and I am having one tomorrow plus we have to do a food shop so the weekend won't be cheap!
I couldn't find any chocolate in the house except an unopened Lindt bunny that we are all going to share but I found one of those mini bottles of wine that I'd forgotten about so I'm having that as a Friday treat instead Smile

Laska42 · 17/04/2015 20:28

..cat looks kind of mean in that picture above, but he is a big softy

OP posts:
Pointlessfan · 17/04/2015 20:29

Laska your cat is beautiful! Mine is curled up on my lap. He eats one pouch of Felix a day plus the ridiculously expensive posh biscuits. We have overfed him a bit lately as he tends to yowl on the landing at night and wakes up DD. He costs us a fortune, I am constantly monitoring which supermarket has cat food on offer!

girliefriend · 17/04/2015 20:38

I think I must be quite lucky with my cats as neither of them seem to over eat really, I have found the tins of wet food tend to go further than the pouches but are a bit more of a faff!

They only get what ever biscuits are on offer, which currently always seems to be Wainwrights, they get through a bowl full a day of them.

Whilst we are showing off our cats Wink

girliefriend · 17/04/2015 20:39

Pointlessfan · 17/04/2015 20:40

Aww they are lovely cats too, girlie. I tried to upload a picture of Pointless cat but my phone wasn't having it!
