Anyone heard of Bonus Bagging? Is it a scam?

A friend of mine has just told me about a thing called bonus bagging which is to do with getting all the free bets from betting sites and turning it into profit. I am sceptical and also wary but she says she's made good money doing it. She says it's NOT betting (if it was, I wouldn't post this) - has anyone got any experience of it please?

I'm not sure what it means but I got a free £30 with a betting site.

My other half put a football bet on with it and it came in. £125, but I only got £95 as they took the 'free' £30 back. But I didn't care!

I went through these a few years ago, mostly through cashback websites. You have to read the terms of the bonus carefully and be disciplined to not put more money in. To get the bonus, you usually have to deposit a certain amount and then stake it on games/bets (sometimes multiple times, and sometimes there are minimum odds for bets - so no backing surefire winners). I only did deals where the cashback was equal to or greater than the amount I had to stake. Then any winnings were a bonus as I had already at least broken even. Also, be careful which payment card you use, as some card providers treat gambling sites like a cash advance, so fees galore. You are probably best off looking on the forums of a cashback website where people are discussing the deals. But remember, gambling sites offer these deals because they know they will make money out of them. And if you have any gambling issues at all, please don't get in to it.

Do you mean matched betting? If you do then no it isn't a scam.

Yes, I've done this and it's not a scam. You have to be really careful and read the Ts & Cs plus make sure you don't bet on anything 'suspicious'. The bookies don't like losing cash and if they work out what you are doing they'll cancel the bet and close your account - it could be very expensive if you've already layed the bet. Premier or Championship/Cup football matches would be the safest thing to do(high volume of bets, simple rules).
Read up on it, then read up some more. You can make a decent sum but it isn't completely risk-free. And it's best if you're not someone who enjoys a flutter - it's really just a numbers game.

Thanks everyone - I've never gambled and to be honest I'm pretty clueless about placing bids etc. Having heard what you've all said, I am wondering if I have the time to commit to it - I'm nervous about the whole thing, so will probably play safe and leave it alone!

My DH does bet regularly (not a lot, a few pounds on football or an occasional horse) and during the football season he often gets free bets. Maybe it's that?

RJnomore no it's not that, it's matched betting. You bet on both possible outcomes e.g. back Man U to win with the bookie then back Man U to not win - or lay - (i.e. lose or draw) with a betting exchange. You may lose a couple of quid, as the odds are almost always in the bookies favour, but you then get a free bet. You do the same again and you will win either at the bookie or the betting exchange (as before), so it's free money.

Unless you both understand the rules of betting and are very good at maths this sounds like a terrible idea.

Not a scam at all, I've made a lot of money from it. I'd really recommend Bonus Bagging as it guides you through step by step and tells you exactly what to do.

Matched betting isn't a scam but takes a lot of time and money. In my case it actually led to a period of problem gambling as I started actually betting so be very careful with it.

If you do this online and have to pay anything over using your credit card, don't forget the cc company may charge you a transaction fee and interest straight away.

Definitely, don't use credit cards to make deposits to gambling/gaming sites - always use a debit card or a money wallet account (Skrill, Paypal, etc).

I have been looking in to this too. It's not a scam, but you need to be careful with it. Anyone have any suggestions for sites? I have come across a couple but just want to make sure others have heard of them.

It sounds like the scammiest thing ever, but I've been matched betting for a month now and made over £200. Been using a site called professor-profit.co.uk. Its actually pretty easy, it helps that there are videos and instructions to talk you through step by step.
Definitely worth looking into if you want some extra money

I've used Bonus Bagging & made £850 in one month. The sales page is hyped but the product is good. The owner sends emails you the bets to place & is very responsive to any questions (I must have sent about 20 support emails lol bet he is glad to see the back of me). Google More Money Review & search for Bonus Bagging, there are over 2000 comments.

Same as QuiteQuietly, I went through cash back websites and used CashbackHack.co.uk, which list out offers and how best to do them, it can be pretty quick.

I've also used the Martin Lewis forums on matched betting as well as SavetheStudent.org which has very useful pictures to guide you through. As others say, just be careful with it!

Online Betting School's freebetchallenge.co.uk, also do a kind of Matched Betting Made Easy thing with an updated example that you can do each week.

I've tried this out once before and did end up making quite a bit of money from it, there are a few sites which give really good reviews of the service and the one i used was Bonus Bagging Review
