There's a fucking spider nest on my fucking banana ShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShock ds just ate one ShockShockShock

Passthecake30 · 14/10/2014 18:03

Eeeeek! Don't think I've ever seen a spiders nest (or ate a spider unless asleep? ?)

£2.50 on extra lunch. Was starving after my homemade salad so a sandwich was a better option than junk all afternoon

confusedandemployed · 14/10/2014 18:04

£7.10 in the market on fish and veg, and £7.97 in the Co-Op on odds and sods. Paid cash so already deducted from budget though.

babsmam · 14/10/2014 18:23

Sigh frugal lose tomorrow as my union is out on strike and although I don't want to I'm out too. Means I can't do overtime on Saturday either. Double sigh.

NK5BM3 · 14/10/2014 18:47

£7 on lunch out, first time in many weeks...

SpottyTeacakes · 14/10/2014 18:51

£10 petrol
59p onion Hmm
£7 something on sudafed etc for dp but he's paying me back

girliefriend · 14/10/2014 18:54

Ended up being quite a spendy day, o.kay here goes;

£11 on a lone ranger lego set for dd for Christmas (reduced from £30 though [wink}
£3 on batteries
£3 on a 2nd hand 7 dwarves set also for dd for Christmas
£3 on cakes (friend provided lunch I provided the cake!)
£6 on swimming after school - me and dd
£5 fish and chip dinner for me and dd.

So total spend £31 - not as bad as I thought actually but still not great. Am justifying the swimming and tea out as a rare treat (dd just told me this has been the 'best day ever' so worth the money imo Smile )

I also sold a few bits on a local fb page so made £4.

lilacclery · 14/10/2014 19:44

passthecake he's talking through his a*se so!! Tell him he's to trust you are doing the best for the good of whole family.

Well jealous of those who have not fueled up since August! €20 wed & €35 sat, will need more next sat & following sat too. This week my nan is 88 so paying her a visit, next week a wedding halfway up the country

SpottyTeacakes · 14/10/2014 19:50

Finally got a tesco orchard invite!

confusedandemployed · 14/10/2014 19:56

girliefriend that's lovely Grin. For me, it's days like that that I'm watching the pennies for. Sounds like it was very much well worth the money.

ItalianWiking84 · 14/10/2014 20:26

So annoying that we don't have amazon Envy

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/10/2014 20:28

What did you get spotty?

AdoraBell · 14/10/2014 20:48

Spent another £23 on stuff for bloody bake sale.

That's it for this week. Grocery budget spent and I'm not spending any more. DH spent about £38 on DD's Xmas presents yesterday as he doesn't want to leave it late this year.

Greengrocers have put their prices up again, honey and spuds both 50p more than last month.

Will read through later, currently getting dinner out of the way so DD1 can have the oven.

Shock at the spider nest. Had one in a pack of nuts here.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/10/2014 20:55

Schools are missing a trick, they should say £20 or we hold a bake sale.

£50 or we hold a prom.

listsandbudgets · 14/10/2014 21:05

Really spendy day:

£4.70 on lunch
£8 in pound shop
£90.30 (yes really) on theatre tickets for me and dd BUT my mum says she'll give me the money for them so not as bad as it sounds - my birthday present and DD's
£22.99 on Amazon - a couple of books and wii game for DD (only came to £15.48 though as had some left over amazon voucher from surveys. Need to earn some more)

Getting very close to being able to claim £20 from inbox pounds. Don't do very much on the site but it will be the third time I've managed a £20 pay out in about 18 months. I prefer one poll - on about £25 at the moment and hoping to hit £40 by Christmas to claim off them again.

needastrongone · 14/10/2014 21:51

Evening all.

LSD today, £2.50 in Morrison's, on way to the opticians, on crusty bread for tonight's beef and chorizo stew. Stew was bulked up with sweet potato, black beans and celery and was supposed to be for two nights (rice tomorrow) but most of it was eaten in one sitting by the teen DC and DH!!! So, I will have to rethink tomorrow.

Ordered my Morrison's delivery (note they are price matching Aldi and Lidl) and a big delivery of fruit and veg from the market. Up to date with toiletries etc so don't need to to go to the pound shop or Aldi etc this week.

On the whole, it's a less expensive month so far and on track to save a good amount, but the horse box wouldn't start yesterday and it's going to the garage tomorrow so that might change Smile

Dpony is a saint, a gem of a find, she is sadly kept on a farm, with barbed wire fences, so her rugs get trashed!! Cost £10 last night on a jumping lesson, I forgot!!

Does anyone else wonder why folk buy stuff on the Facebook sites for a quid or two??!! I have had people drive half an hour to pick up a pair of school trousers for £2 Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 15/10/2014 05:24

Fluffy it's for the free from range Confused

lilacclery · 15/10/2014 06:34

needaStrongone this is something that baffles me, or driving 30 mins into town because lidl have something on super Saturday! I never make a journey unless I'm doing 1001 jobs probably why I achieve 5/6 nsd per week & one absolute blow out!!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/10/2014 07:02

I've found a wedding ring I love. It's the full budget for mine and dp's rings though. Do you think he could get away with a tin foil one?! Grin

Iamnotanugget · 15/10/2014 07:07

So it's not for bananas then spotty? Wink

needa I once put something on ebay but also gave a buy it now price of £30 but it sold for £35 Confused People are strange.

Just playgroup yesterday, £2. Hoping for same today plus £5ish in Aldi on fruit.

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 15/10/2014 07:09

Hopefully NSD today. I'm planning on spending the morning baking things to put in the freezer for later in the month, such as pumpkin bread, banana bread, lemon cake, chocolate cake. I will be putting them in smaller loaf pans and then freezing them in freezer bags, probably 3-4 loaves in each bag. It's just easier to fit them in the freezer (as well as cut them later) if I make them into loaves, instead of a round cake shape.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/10/2014 07:15

No Grin they offered to replace the bananas but we got a refund and £5 giftcard. Apparently there had been a big spider run out from the bananas earlier that day!

Should be nsd today. I've got a blood test this morning otherwise nothing.

Macaroni cheese for dinner. I will out cauliflower in it and everyone will moan Grin

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 15/10/2014 07:20
