furcoatbigknickers · 02/10/2014 10:47

Thanks Italian, I'm sorry, your little one will be ok so will youx

fuzzpig · 02/10/2014 11:11

Hugs to you and baby, italian Thanks

Well, I'm kicking myself. Yesterday DD casually said "mummy did you know I'm actually on the hot dinners list?"

Now I'd sent her to juniors with packed lunches because I'd assumed the free school meals, which they'd become eligible for last year, would have stopped by now (DS gets them anyway because he's in yr1) as DH is now employed. I just assumed and didn't want to make a fuss.

So I asked at reception and it turns out yes she is still on the list! I'm confused, but very grateful of course. And totally kicking myself for the money I've spent needlessly on packed lunch stuff.

I have no idea how long this will last - I know they will get the Pupil Premium for five more years, and I guess they don't cut off the FSM straight away, but surely it gets reviewed every so often?! I don't want to get in trouble Confused

fuzzpig · 02/10/2014 11:14

I'll start a separate thread about it I think as from googling we shouldn't be eligible anymore!

Badvoc123 · 02/10/2014 11:23

Italian...
I know his won't make you feel any better but I was where you are now 11 years ago.
It's so hard, and distressing but look after you and let the medics look after your dd.
My ds is now a big strapping 11 year old :)
This too shall pass x

FantaSea · 02/10/2014 11:35

Italian thinking of you and your baby, hope she is a bit better now. The worst part of being a parent is when they are ill, it is horrible Flowers

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 11:40

Oh Italian poor you. You're in the best place now Thanks

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 12:14

Argh my bloody oven is brokenSad

Itsfab · 02/10/2014 12:48

Italian I hope you and BabyItalian feel better soon.

DS2 has requested school dinners as he said he likes the look of the puddings! Grin. I have told him there are some meals I am not sure he will like but he is focussing on the ones he will so I will make a decision soon.

Spent £33 in Asda. Think my soup was had a day too long and it has caused an upset tummy so went to get jacket spuds as just want something plain. Also got next boxers for DS2 and school trousers for DS1 as he is growing like a weed. I think I might have got the wrong size as per the cm on the label but given his height I think they will do. 15-16!!!! He is only 13.

Oh no Spotty!!! Sad.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 12:52

I think it's just the element Confused

Dd has school dinners there's always bread and yoghurts etc if she doesn't like anything. We look online each day to see what she can have for lunch, I think knowing what there is stops any worrying.

ItalianWiking84 · 02/10/2014 13:46

Thank you all. Now at the hospital for children and waiting for what the doctor says...
But no more milk from me and baby Italian is a bottle refused

fuzzpig · 02/10/2014 14:14

Italian have you/they tried a syringe to feed? You can squirt a little into the cheek rather than onto the tongue, seems to work better if I remember correctly from when DD was having trouble feeding.

Oh no spotty! Ours doesn't work either and can't get the LL in yet as the house is WAY too messy right now Blush is there an easy way of finding out if it's the element that's gone?

Mojito100 · 02/10/2014 14:15

NSD today. Would love one tomorrow to make 4 for the week. Next week will be extreme with long weekend away catching up with loads of friends. Luckily got unexpected share dividend so may use that got weekend jollies.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 02/10/2014 14:23

Italian hope you and little one are ok, you may have an infection and that's affecting milk supply it won't have dried up often we express about 10% of what a baby can get out in same time n some women get nothing expressing.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 15:19

I don't know Fuzzpig. Process of elimination? Fan is working, top oven and grill are working so that's all I can think of!

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 02/10/2014 15:35

Italian hope everything is sorted quickly and you and little one are feeling better (and fed).

Spotty coming in a bit late here, but are all 4 elements on the cooker not working then? Or just one of them? (or have I utterly missed the point?)

Hmm
fuzzpig · 02/10/2014 15:36

Oh that's the same as ours - grill works, hob works, fan works. Thanks! :)

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 15:38

Er I don't know how many elements there are Confused I know it blew my trip earlier though when it went

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 02/10/2014 15:41

ItalianWiking84 Keep positive, poor baby Italian Sad

Spotty do you rent? Ll responsibility. Or buy the element and replace it.

£3.19 on work supplies.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 16:03

We do but it's our cooker. Dp's dad is an electrician so hoping he can do it. Might need the oven professionally cleaned first Blush

Spendy day

£5 paying lady back in café
£8 on cake in said café Blush
£9.98 in tesco on nappies, bread and stuff for harvest festival box I forgot about.

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 02/10/2014 16:07

Ok, your idea of elements and mine may be different, so pay no attention to me then. Grin My input is American, where we have stupidly different terminology for the same things (much to my embarrassment sometimes here in the UK when I am trying to talk to a repair person). I sometimes revert to "thingamabob" and "whatchamajiggy" in a panic. Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2014 16:09

My kiwi stepmum calls the hobs elements, is that what you thought?

Is £70 a good price to clean double oven and hobs? I know, I know, but it's pretty bad Blush
