cool hope you get it sorted soon. I'm just the same as you - up all night worrying about anything and everything. Do you have an old towel or old t-shirt or something that you could tie around it in the absence of a nappy?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2014 20:11

At the moment Quidco, but not tcb, is offering £100 for home serve 8, which is £10 a month.

It covers a lot of emergencies & will only cost you £20 a year with the cashback.

I dread anything going wrong with the house too, luckily it's new & the builders come and fix anything they install that goes wrong.

Fluffy can I cancel my experian credit report anywhen after starting the free trial?

potbellyroast · 23/03/2014 20:38

Just seen on HDUK that there will be a £5 of £40 spend in the mirror on Thursday 27th march.

potbellyroast · 23/03/2014 20:39

For Aldi expects you all to be mind readers

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2014 20:39

Yes, ring up & cancel.

They'll offer it to you for £4 a month

Then ask if they can still send you emails. When you refuse that it's all over. I refused the emails.

I just told them I couldn't afford it.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2014 20:45

Can you only do it by phone? Dp will not be impressed he hates using the phone Grin

Just listed 13 bundles on eBay. Hope they sell I really hate doing it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2014 20:50

Yep, by phone. Use saynoto0870. If its not a free number.

They can't talk you into staying if you do it by email.

Thanks potbelly

I did not know that about Clark's shoes. DS is just too young for these marketing ploys but it won't be long I'm sure.

6 to pay my mum into a NT place today. We are both members but neither of us had our cards with us [useful] They confirmed mine by phone but my mum is a Scottish member so they couldn't do the same for her.

potbellyroast · 23/03/2014 21:18

spotty. You can keep an eye on your credit file with noddle. You have to enter a debit card (to verify who you are I think) to start with but it's all free. I was a bit sceptical about the debit card but it was our mortgage advisor who told me about it and he assured me it was ok and just for verification purposes.

It updates your credit file once a month although you can check it as many times as you like. They obviously try to sell you other services but I don't bother with them.

AuditAngel · 23/03/2014 21:37

NSD for me today, but after 4 hours of little girls for DD1's party today I am sitting down (finally) working my way through a bottle of wine.

Will be paying for the kids dancing uniforms tomorrow £66. I resisted for nearly 3 months to be sure they were enjoying the lessons. I have hold the older 2 that their uniforms (which they don't have to wear for ordinary lessons but are expected to wear to/from the theatre if they are in a show) are their reward for good reports for parents evening. We have always given a reward for good school reports/parents evening reports (better report equals better present) so this managed to reward them with something I needed to buy anyway Grin

Hoping for a NSD tomorrow too.

AuditAngel · 23/03/2014 21:38

Obviously NSD other than the uniform!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2014 07:21

Tesco are doing heat holder socks for £1, 3% cb at tcb, reduced from £6. They are meant to be the best thermal socks & they have a tog rating of 2.

I don't have the heating on much in the winter so I've ordered 5 pairs.

I haven't even had breakfast yet & I'm spending money.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/03/2014 07:24

Should be a nsd for me. Well I'm going to pay £50 off my Next acct but I'm not actually buying anything Grin

CoolCadbury · 24/03/2014 09:15

Leaky toilet fixed. Yay! £45. Very reasonable. As suspected, it was a split washer. Very relieved. Smile

Possiblyorange · 24/03/2014 10:18

Cadbury yay for cheap toilet repair!

Won't be a NSD today, but planning sensible spend on some stewing steak and onions to put in the slow cooker with the tons of veg we have that need using up (not sure how that happened, I think I miscalculated when menu planning last week!), and some posting of ebay sales to do.

Jinty64 · 24/03/2014 10:18

Going out for lunch with a friend today but have trousers to take back to debenhams so should just about cover it. I need some fruit and a few bits in poundland but will try to be frugal.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/03/2014 10:23

I just ate a whole bar of galaxy BlushShock

What do you all post your eBay sales in? I don't want to buy a load of bags...

MissMysticFalls · 24/03/2014 10:53

Hello, back again after namechange and mammoth work slog (was Freelance).

About to head off on holiday at Butlins and am going to try to make it a fairly frugal but fun one. Will report back - so far opted for selfcatered apartment with meal plan (all you can eat breakfast and dinner) which sounded expensive but I know will be cheaper than eating out even twice when we're there, plus we got DS's food free (should have been 24 quid) and a discount. I reckon if we fill up late at breakfast and eat dinner early we'll only need to eat snacks on top.

Everything we want to do is free when we get there and DS too young to pester for paid for stuff Smile

After working about 50 percent overtime so far this month I'm desperate to just stop and have someone else do the washing up and thinking about what we'll have for dinner!

Ellisisland · 24/03/2014 12:16

£2.60 on work lunch out and will have to spend a few £ on posting some eBay bits later.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2014 12:26

£4 lidl
£2.50 grass seed

£5 petrol.

AdoraBell · 24/03/2014 13:21

Hope you have a good holiday MissMysticFalls

So far I've only Spent on road toll for school run, £2.55.
DH has surprised himself with How much money he is saving by not using that road for all his journeys.

Need To Go through cupboards and freezer To meal plan but I have a stiff knee, fell down the stairs rushing this morning doing exactly what I keep telling DDs off for Blush, so I might not check the cupboards, don't fancy bending my leg Today. Luckily I didn't break anything so no expensive medical costs.

CremeEggThief · 24/03/2014 13:25

£1.40 in Tesco, but expecting my Sainsburys and Lidl orders to come out of my account later (roughly £60 for both) and I paid off the last of my holiday (£196.something), so that will come out in a few days.

Passthecake30 · 24/03/2014 13:25

spottyteacakes you can buy the postage bags pretty reasonable from a seller on ebay. Otherwise, I use old delivery bags turned inside out (eg from next orders) or thick carrier bags (think bag for life, Dorothy Perkins, next - not tescos freebies!). And brown parcel tape from the 99p shop
