PS - who was it who posted about the Dishwasher tab rejects from Ebay? I'm intrigued!

Turnoffthelights- you need to store the potatoes in a cool Dry dark place. Not in plastic, they will sweat and rot.
Cherry tomatoes are easy to grow in hanging baskets, it won't be long before it all kicks off for the home growing. Good luck.

You could use tesco daisy dishwasher powder, I put a dessert spoonful in the bottom of the machine.

It's not tested on animals like finish et al.

Fluffy cloud, would you recommend the tesco powder, I didn't get on with the aldi one and buy branded when its on half price/offer.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/02/2014 18:39

I've been using it 2.5 years, I've just started my third box.

I think it works better using separate salt/rinse aid/detergent and it doesn't have to break down from a tablet so it gets to work faster.

Other people in the family spend in one month what I spend in 9 on dishwasher detergent Confused

Well friend paid for the wingmirror and she took it to the garage so it was realy more of a hassle for her than me. I just wish she'd knocked off my old one so I'd have two brand new Grin

We have just got costco membership for the business so I can use that for stocking up on my own food as well. I just have to remember to ONLY buy things I actually use and not get carried away!

NSD today and am visiting parents until saturday so won't have to pay for anything

Got the Aldi voucher and paper was actually in the recycling bin in the staff room so don't even need to feel guilty! Going there tomorrow morning before work for big shop.

55p on mirror. I carefully cut out the money off vouchers and then put the paper in the recycling bin at work. On my way home I realised I hadnt cut out the 5 off voucher one! I can retrieve it in the morning.

Turnoff as mentioned by pp, keep potatoes in their paper sack in a cool, dark place. We keep ours in the garage. We got a sack at Christmas and we're nearing the bottom of it now and the potatoes are still fine. I've discovered the 'love potatoes' website. There's some new ideas and some old favourites, lots of cheap options.

I'm also going to defend basic peas and sweetcorn but I don't like frozen cauliflower or broccoli which just highlights that you should find your own preferences. If we're having broccoli I chop the stalk into almost matchsticks and it goes in a stir fry. I have been known to put the stalk, cauliflower leaves, an onion, good handful of peas and stock in a pan, cook for 15 minutes and then puree into 'Garden soup'.

I have nothing planned for today. I may go to JL for my coffee and cake as voucher expires today. I'll need to resist buying anything else though.

£12.99 on whisky for dh (I might get a small glass)
60p on a stamp
£20 on petrol for next week
£2 on gardening gloves but they were in the sale from £15
25p Sellotape.

www.hotukdeals.com/deals/pancake-day-for-free-after-cashback-1839707 Nearly free pancake stuff, the syrups not on shopitize from tesco though.

Aldi/lidl tips. Take a pound coin for the trolley, put heavy stuff on the checkout first then lob it into the trolley quick as you can when they've scanned it, take reuseable bags (I think tesco replaces theirs free of charge when they get old but don't quote me) , pack at the shelf when you've paid, don't try and pay with a credit card.

Oh so lidl works in the same way as aldi? I don't have any reusable bags I've still got some from my ocado shop though and they're nice and big.

£6 something in chemist on eye liner, Disney plasters and a plaster roll thing. I get 25% discount though as I work at the drs

If you check the website it's got the weekend offers too, it's worth checking to see whats on half pice.

Some of the shopping apps like shopitize & clicksnap do cashback on lidl stuff but its very limited.

Here's my monthly report:
Good news - got some extra work in and invoices were paid quickly; planned a few days of meals; booked a bargainous break for next month
Bad news - still haven't listed anything on eBay but did spread some good vibes by giving some stuff away; overspent on grocery but not overspent overall I.e. Had money left over in another pot.

Is there anything you could substitute the coffee for? Long term a nespresso & an insulated mug might be cheaper.

I mean, at say £2 every working day that's £80 a month. I don't actually know how much coffee costs these days though.
