Hi all,

I am looking at Money Saving Expert etc.. currently with E.On but based on some of the comparisons, can definitely lower our bills.

Have only had estimated bills for the last year (eek) but I have now got accurate readings..

I have seen some posts mention switch through Quidco / Top Cash Back.. I'm new to those sites, can anyone give any info on the best way forward? I'm confused! Confused!

I did it through the cheapenergyclub which is on the moneysavingexpert site and they gave me £30 cashback 3 months after my switch as I did the switch through them. I did check out other comparison websites to double check the tariff I was choosing was the best one for me

thanks ilovepowerhoop.. I've seen that today...

I was wondering how to check if sites like Quidco did more cashback?

I also switched through MSE - electricity only so £15 cashback, which actually arrived in my account before the switch date.

then npower didn't register my initial reading, raised a complaint, they couldn't get the previous supplier to change the reading recorded so credited me £15 for the £2 of electricity for which I was charged twice.

the cashback and the credit cover the increased cost for the first year. Smile.

Just to add to that, the MSE switch also checks your deal is the best - so you'll get an email every so often to say, "Your deal is still the best for your needs", or alternatively, "You can save by switching again, go here". They make it very easy to do the switch.

(as in, the deal that you switched to through them - they check that it is still the best deal)

I went through topcashback after comparing on mse. They gave me £105 cashback plus M&S energy gave me £20 in M&S vouchers.

Eon still haven't charged me for the electric I used for the two months I was with them.

Am going to try and look at all options today.. Thanks again
