Yes, I use them a lot although you'll not get rich, there's no catch at all. Just take your bag in and they weigh them and get paid out cash.

Mine seem to take owt. It seems to depend on the individual shop whether they check. (the ones I use are a local chain). There is a notice asking for shoes to be paired and saying they don't accept towels etc.. but one of the shops I have been in have opened the bag and searched through, then the next time they have just weighed the bags, seems to be hit and miss.
