eBay or car boot?

We're very short of cash at the moment, like many. We have all sorts to get rid of like old parts to an engine, screws, bolts (clearing out an old workshop) , just tonnes of stuff. Also old clothes in great condition etc. we'd normally give to charity but husband made redundant so down to half income.
What would you do? Any advice from booters/ ebayers greatly welcomed.

I find Facebook local selling pages best by far, then car boot for bulk stuff and ebay for specialist stuff, but only after I've tried Facebook pages.

I've had success with eBay. I think people want things for 50p at car boot sales.

Depends what kind of things you're selling. Research prices you get for your goods on Ebay (keep in mind prices & sales on Ebay are very low just now). Expect to sell for max. 10% of new price at carboot. Warning: I have never made more than £20 at a car boot (after costs). These are carboots with like 60-80 sellers & 200-400 buyer vehicles. So I think you have to aim for a much busier carboot than that to make much money.

Thank you both, it sounds like car boots are more hassle for little profit. I'm going to look into eBay and Facebook local x
