selling clothes

I have some of my clothes, including a work suit, and my children's clothes

I know I should charity shop them but money is tight

is eBay worth it for clothes?
is it better to take them to a cash by weight place or use a online service?

if I got dh to have a clear out it could be a black sack bag of different bits

I've had success with new / nearly new high end high street stuff on eBay. Make sure your price your P&P realistically though.

Good luck Smile.

I don't use EBay at all anymore due to their ridiculous fees. See if there is a local Buy and Sell page on Facebook, or try Gumtree...

Music magpie website offer money for some branded clothes (next etc), although I am not sure how much. You have to enter in details of make, measure, so it is quite time-consuming but could be worthwhile.

Alternatively, do you have any dress agencies near you? I have in the past received £12 for about 4/5 items of branded clothes that were in good condition & relatively fashionable.

I do well at selling children's clothes and toys at NCT nearly New Sales. Next one is in Oct 13 in our area. They take 20% for their charity, but I usually take home £60-£70 (t-shirts for 80p, outfits for £2 etc but make most of the money on larger baby toys).

I sell my stuff on Friday Ads, Netmums, Pre loved and I have set up another profile on Facebook just for my selling page.

I have sold loads on fb but it does take time to do it. The run up to Xmas is good if you have toys that your DC have outgrown.
