Is it possible to have symptoms so soon after an event on Sunday night. Or would it be more possible if it was from someone at work with new sinus issues of Friday and Saturday.

I tested positive day 4 after being in contact with someone who then said they were positive, DH tested positive after just 3 days. We hadn’t been anywhere else until seeing this person

I am just trying to figure out when my exposure was.

I had a colleague who was off sick last week on the Monday and Tuesday. I dont know what she had. She came back into work on Wednesday of last week. On Saturday I heard her voice and it sounded a lot like sinus issues.

I went to a gig on Sunday night. I presumed my exposure was at this gig because my friend who was with me is also unwell.

I am testing positive and she is not.

It all seems very soon. I am looking at a timeline of Sunday evening to Wednesday morning symptoms.

I was very tired on Tuesday but I put that down to working long hours and exhaustion and stress. I had a slight cough too but it was nothing. That was on Tuesday. It all seems very quick. If Sunday was my exposure.

Now I am thinking of I was possibly infectious even on Sunday and Monday but I didn't know it. With my colleague being the exposure.

I don't know. I know it doesn't really matter where it came from and I am not judging my colleague. It's such a nasty virus that gaslights people where you are better one minute and sick again the next.

I presumed Sunday nights gig was a super spreader. I likely would have been extremely run down and exhausted from stress and work and long hours so maybe that's why it was so quick to show in me.

I didn't realise on Tuesday about the possibly of covid then. It only became apparent on Wednesday.

My sister and her family were at an event 2 weeks ago on a Saturday, tested positive on the Tuesday morning, after feeling unwell Monday evening. Rang the organiser to let them know and was told that 9/20 people had tested positive and were unwell. I work with a lot of medics and discussed it with them and they said the latest variant shows up much quicker than previously. Also pink eye is a new side effect 🫣

Either could be possible

I got started on paxlovid today. My go out me on it because my fever was nearly 40 and it was extremely stubborn yesterday and I have an underlying condition.

Covid incubation has been getting shorter with each variant. The timeline you are describing is not only possible but extremely likely, 2.5-3 days is anecdotally the incubation I've heard most often these days.
