Eligibility for the Covid vax

Hi I'm a bit confused about whether I'm eligible or not.

I had breast cancer last year, lumpectomy, started tamoxifen in sept and radio therapy in the autumn. I'm 47.

I've had a few texts about Covid vax recently and when i followed it though to booking a time and date it immediately ended with something like "we cannot book this for you" or "you are not eligible."

Do they just send out a blanket text after cancer treatments but the filter who really needs it? Or was it a system crash.

How would I find out if I'm actually eligible?

Can you log in via your nhs app. You get asked a question about your lowered immunity, depending on your answer you get offered to book an appointment. It then says you might have to bring proof of lowered immunity to the appointment, like a letter. I’m not an expert just this is what I saw on the app.

Thanks - I've managed to get one booked now with nhs number. But may still be refused I suppose if letter isn't accepted.

It's weather radiotherapy is classed as low immunity causing or not

My mum had breast cancer in 2021 and has been eligible for all covid boosters since. She had chemo as well though so that's potentially why?

Yes that's why I'm confused. I asked someone at some point if it meant id get jabs (I had covid three times, roughly months apart and each time the symptoms lasted about 4-5 months. Then as was just recovered the last bout was diagnosed with breast cancer.)

Have to say the health drive I've been on appears to have boosted my immunity immensely! A nasty flu bug is all I've had in a year. So I'm in two minds about it anyway. The Pfizer one made me bleed an awful lot.

I had a booster at the beginning of May and DH and I caught Covid 3 weeks later. I didn' t feel too bad and was fine within a few days, DH is still grotty. Very muzzy headed, coughing...
So I think the booster is worth it.
