How long did your Covid fatigue last?

Tested positive on the 2 Feb and expected some fatigue, but it's now the 20th and getting a bit frustrated/concerned that I still have zero energy. Have been resting a lot to prevent this exact scenario 😢 It doesn't help that DC had a cold this week and I think I've been fighting that off too.

I'd be more concerned about accidentally time travelling!

But in seriousness, around 4 weeks 😭

2 years for me. Spent around a year in bed.

Make sure you're drinking a lot of water.

duckpancakes · 20/01/2024 15:07

Pinkelephant26 · 20/01/2024 15:08

3 years 3 months and counting

PSEnny · 20/01/2024 15:08

Around 12 weeks, I was signed off with covid for that time and now 18 months later if I get ill it really affects me.

Thejackrussellsrule · 20/01/2024 15:30

About 3 months until I felt normal again.

Teacup19 · 20/01/2024 15:39

The struggle is real with the brain fog 🫠 Hope you feel better soon ☺️

First time, I was back to almost normal energy levels after about 12 weeks.

Moonsoutagain · 21/01/2024 07:51

Got it for the first time in December. Fatigue lasted about 2 weeks, am back to normal now thankfully.

howlongtilsummer · 21/01/2024 20:10

Coming up for two years for me. Rest when you can as lots of us long haulers pushed through lingering/new symptoms close to our infections and that seems to often cause a worse long term outcome. Hope you feel back to normal soon.

Nearly 4 years (since March 2020) and I'm still completely housebound. I was healthy, fit & very active, with a busy job as a deputy headteacher until I got covid. Please, please, please rest and don't push yourself.

greenacrylicpaint · 21/01/2024 20:32

My fatigue has lasted about three and a half years. Long Covid is very common but very overlooked. Take it easy and don't push yourself. Hopefully you will improve more quickly than me!

I tested positive on 15th Jan. Was off work for two weeks and went back last Monday. I have spent most of this weekend sleeping. I can't stay awake and now my headache is back. I don't remember feeling like this the last time I had Covid. Does anyone have any advice about how to get over the fatigue? I'm so fed up!

Teacup19 · 04/02/2024 18:36

@pineapplecactus I also had an intermittent return of symptoms and menstrual cycle went off, but I'm pretty much back to normal now, so 1 month since testing positive. I think what helped me is taking Vit D, B complex and Zinc.
