whole househokd had covid last week or so last two are day 6/8 and i went away to work on monday evening- all were isolating in home as much as possible.
i have tested every day whilst at home and until yesterday just incase. Now coming back home today and have run out of tests.
spent about £20 or more on them last week or so. Should i keep testing now or only test if I get symptoms ?
whats the moral thing to do as opposed to guidelines
due to go out tonorrow crowded places etc and xmas at parents ( parents do not care if have covid or not though and still want is all to come)
those who had covid all taken a test as well and showing negative .
whats the right thing to do

No one cares - do what you would normally do.
No need to isolate or test either

This. If you're well enough, go. If not, don't

It doesn't sound like you're very likely to be infectious now although personally I might test again nearer the time of seeing parents. The more days go by since the last time one of your family with covid was positive, the less likely you'll be to end up with symptoms if you haven't already.

Iliketulips · 22/12/2023 15:54

Morally the fair thing to do is to test. Even if you don't care about others, do you want to risk giving your parents covid?

Of course lots of people still care. You may not, but many people do.

My parents don’t care i don’t need to test to go there. If i end up with covid they still want me to go , they are not people who test themselves etc and were very anti lockdown. Technically ds will still be within 10 days of covid so if they were very vunerable would be an issue anyway. More should i test tomorrow before going out train etc , i can’t test every day until xmas as don’t have enough tests left or much more money to buy anymore , I have spent about £30 alreadt

I would test. Good luck.

wast542 · 23/12/2023 12:34

Don't test it's a waste of money. If you are sick stay home. If your not sick go out. Simple

dementedpixie · 23/12/2023 14:43

Were you testing yourself with no symptoms?
We only tested with symptoms and only because we had tests left over from when ds used to bring them home from school.

2dogsandabudgie · 23/12/2023 17:01

I would only test if you get symptoms now.

BCBird · 23/12/2023 17:04

Some people do care.
