If you are post COVID and coughing up blood then get checked out for a potential pulmonary embolism. My husbands didn't show up on x-ray only CT because the clots (all over both his lungs) were too small.
Also if you are short of breath post COVID ask for a peak flow meter from the GP or pharmacist. My peak flow was very low and inhalers did help me with my breathlessness.
You can also get Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia and dysautonomia post COVID which can have breathlessness and fatigue as symptoms. Managing my POTS (see link below) helped with my breathlessness and fatigue.

I have had Long Covid for nearly 3 years, but recovering well and back at work just not full time. GPs should be considering referring to Long COVID clinics after 4 weeks of symptoms (used to be 12 weeks). They should do bloods, a chest x-ray and in some cases an ECG before referral.
Referral criteria from National commissioning
guidance for post COVID services
Version 3, July 2022
Children, young people and adults with ongoing symptoms lasting for four weeks or
more following COVID-19 illness should be considered for referral, particularly if the
following criteria are met:
• severe presentations where symptoms are having a significant impact on normal
activities of daily living, including attendance at work or, for children and young
people, access to education or attendance at school
• non-improving trend
• atypical presentations where further assessment is needed to confirm the
diagnosis/consider alternative diagnoses
• further assessment is needed to confirm safety and appropriateness of either self-
management or supported rehabilitation.
Typically, referral will not be immediate due to the need to rule out alternative diagnoses
and undertake relevant investigations before doing so. People who experience
spontaneous recovery will not require referral.
