Tested positive for covid before wedding

Hi all,
I've been invited to a wedding Thursday and I tested positive for covid yesterday (Sunday) after my partner had it last week. I've no idea how long I've been positive for as it was the first time I'd tested since my partner had caught it. I know its not a legal requirement to self isolate anymore but I can't bring myself to go if I'm likely to pass it on, does anyone know what the chances of me being in the clear by Thursday are?
I'm gutted because I've been looking forward to this for the past year ☹

I was negative 5 days after my first positive. My mum is still positive 14 days later. No way of telling I don't think.

So don't go. Job done

I'll just keep testing daily then and see, thank you

I understand your disappointment, but think that it the right thing to do if u are still testing positive

Someone came to our daughters wedding clearly recovering from Covid .... to the extent that she delayed her flight by a day and then went to bed for a day
We were all abroad and our daughter had postponed the wedding for three year because of Covid
18 out of 19 of us caught it
Weddings are intimidate affairs

Can you work out how long you might have had it before you tested going by your symptoms?

LangMayYerLumReek2024 · 03/01/2024 13:26

Ask the bride and groom what they would prefer?

It's not a legal requirement, but the guidance remains that if you test positive, you should stay home for 5 days unless it is essential you go out. And if you really have to go out, then you minimise contact with other people particularly indoors, practice social distancing and wear a mask

Covid remans a risk for the critically vulnerable, and no-one wants long covid.

The wedding was in November...
