When to seek GP review

Had covid 3 weeks ago now but have been having intermittent breathlessness for the past 4 days now. Came on suddenly after what I think was mild to moderate covid symptoms initially.
Don't feel overly congested, no cough etc.
just feel as mentioned breathless at times which is alarming.
Goi g to borrow an oximeter from my friend to check O2 levels but I'm getting myself in a pickle and wondering if I need a review. Any similarities with anyone who recovered from covid only to have symptoms weeks later?

Have you done any exercise or exerted yourself in the last few days?

No nothing at all. Walked from the park to the car, up a slight hill and was really breathless. Recovered quickly, heart rate slightly elevated. After eating, I also feel really bloated and nauseous and again this makes me feel a bit breathless. Think I'm going mad 😬

Took a Sudafed earlier to see if that helped in any way. Possibly had some nasal drip as was aware of some secretions in the back of my throat that weren't there before. My nasal airway is clear, not blocked though.

It's horrible, just feel like I can't get a deep enough breath into my lungs. The more I'm thinking/aware of it, the more panicked I feel.

I had the breathlessness and heart racing a few weeks after a mild infection too - on minor slopes or hills. I ended up unable to catch my breath (after being ok again post walk) several hours after a walk with a lot of inclines, to the point I was collapsing. That was the start of long covid for me (doctor initially dismissed as panic attack). Things may have moved on (18 months ago for me) and they may be more aware of common post covid issues now and be able to treat or at least check for other causes. I would raise it with your GP and try not to push through anything if you can help it. Although I'm nauseous pretty much all the time now, it is worse when I'm breathless.
