A friend is isolating in my house with covid. She isn't well at all, was going to be admitted to hospital last week but got through it. Won't/can't eat. Her landlady chucked her out - doesn't want covid in her house, her parents don't want her home with it so she was sleeping in her car.
Why are people so shit? As long as she doesn't cough in my face I think it's fine. I've never had covid.

Be very very careful . If its the BA2.86 it's very contagious. It wipes you out and is horrific for some.
The one before this one was the same.. gave me laryngitis ( common symtom) ..l think you are an amazing friend.
God bless you.

I’ve had covid a couple of times and it’s been awful. Husband ended up in hospital with it.
last time he had it I didn’t get it.
simple things I did-have windows open so there’s air flow. Sleep in separate rooms. Wipe down common”touch areas” often-light switches, taps etc. Mask on if she’s coming in a communal area or you can’t keep distance.
try and keep distance between you as much as possible…
to be honest mask on would reduce her coughing it all over your surfaces…but obviously up to you and her to negotiate.

it’s lovely that you’ve given her somewhere to stay but if you can at least lower your own chances of catching it you should.

hope she’s better soon! (And that you manage to avoid it).

Ooh and have hand sanitiser handy and use regularly…
and use separate towels in the bathroom.

we’re a household of 4…have had it in the house about 6 times I think (lost count! The fun of having children) but we’ve not all had it each time.

to be honest I invested in an air purifier more recently (after husbands emergency admission to hospital) too as kids don’t cover their mouths when coughing/wear masks and have that on now if one of us has a cough if windows can’t be open (eg. Overnight)

I'm with you. You're a good friend. People have previously tended to the sick in the face of diseases with a far higher mortality rate. I'd rather take my chances than live in a world where sick people are left to sleep in their cars.
