He was fine yesterday. Had no idea he was really anything but 100%. I was feeling weirdly tired. I often do but I was pretty wiped out so went to bed at 6pm for a few hours. Dh went into work then came home after a hour as he has tested positive for covid so got sent home. He has been asleep all day. Is this normal? He has had it before.

Currently have covid. I am exhausted but unfortunately I don't get to hide away in bed as have 3 children and a dog to deal with plus full time study. I am doing the bare minimum of house stuff though. Started feeling crap Monday night, watery eyes, runny nose and sore throat. Tuesday extremely tired, sneezing a lot, sore throat and headache, Wednesday same but add in bit of a cough and test positive. Yesterday and today still feel exhausted and also breathless along with the other heavy cold symptoms but not at "deaths door" can't move kind of ill so I'm just getting on with things.

I have it right now. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted (work on healthcare) and I've had it before and it was a bit crappy but nothing worse than a bad cold.

This one is DREADFUL. I feel like shit on a stick. I could sleep all the time except I'm coughing razor wire judging by the feel of it.

yy, flu is consistent.
My covid took 3 days to kick in (got positive test), made me poorly for 3 then vanished. All my colds and flu happen instantly and take ages to leave.

I’ve only had Covid once, this January. I’ve had 4 vaccinations, last one in November with my flu one.

I was quite poorly for about a week, very tired and feverish, took 13 days to get a negative test result. I then coughed my way through to mid February before feeling fully better.

I was thankful not to have it worse, a good friend of mine ended up on a ventilator just before Christmas after getting Covid and is still not fully recovered. The after effects of being on a ventilator and then having a tracheostomy are really bad.

@Ilovetocrochet that is so sad

We all had it last March one after the other and none of us felt particularly unwell, it was just like a cold really. DD got it again in July and felt off it for a day and I bit tired for a couple of days then fine. I’ve had it again this week and it’s wiped me out. I just feel exhausted, had a bit of a chesty cough and snotty nose/ sore throat but the tiredness is something else this time round.

Not odd in my view

I had it and it was like first trimester all over again. I didn’t think it was covid thought- until I tested and it all made sense as it didn’t feel like a normal cold at all

Dh was much better on day 2 then made a complete recovery. I'm not sure if the rest of us caught it. I felt very tired and had a few headache s but I only tested the day after his positive.

I would encourage him to sleep as much as possible, and don't rush to move around in any way. These first few days of rest are vital to fighting infection. Hope he feels better soon.
