My Dd turns 7 tomorrow and has a big party planned with family coming on the Sunday.

I have felt awful since last weekend which got gradually worse and made me feel horrendous yesterday.

I feel much better today compared to yesterday.

I have to stay away from all the birthday celebrations don't I Sad

What day were you positive?

crosstalk · 17/02/2023 12:36

V tricky and I sympathise. I went down with what I thought was a cold on Christmas Eve and didn't make it through Christmas Day and for the next two days was in bed. No headache, continuous coughing, flu type symptoms. Only as I felt better and realized I had lost my sense of taste did I check and found it was Covid. By which time I'd spread it around. So the chances are you've done your spreading but the advice is to give it 5 days from test - in particular if you have vulnerable or unvaxxed people.

If you are feeling better why would you stay away. By Sunday you will probably be much better.

I'm on a similar time scale to you with Covid. I know we're supposed to be Living with Covid and all that but I'd be reluctant to host a get-together. Are the party and the family thing 2 separate events?

The advice is 10 days before seeing vulnerable people

Anyone vulnerable? I would just let family know, if we didn't have anything planned we would likely still come
