I'd rather not look at the direct gov website as find it so confusing can anyone tell me simply is there any rules set now about having covid, my elderly parents came back today from a cruise and have now tested positive not gunna lie im panicking a bit even though there triple vaccinated im still worried about them.
They asked me for the advice on the latest rules/guidance I have no idea any more they need food shopping getting in and I don't live close to them to support them nor do they drive

Can't you just do an online shop for them?

As far as I know the recommended isolation is 5 days. But this is not a law, only recommended. If they need food and have no one to shop for them I think its reasonable to put a mask on and choose a quiet time and go to the Supermarket.

It never dawned on me an online shop ! Of course

I don't believe there are any 'rules' now. Recommendations to isolate but not required.

Can essentially go about their life as usual if they want to
