Is it still worse at the ten day point?

Covid first time: just had one jab, minor symptoms.

covid 2nd time: 3 jabs. Been really ill. Got a bit better but dipped again.

thinking back to original days of Covid- that was a thing right? Dipping at ten days or so?

Musing really. Am a teacher and blatantly got a heavier exposure this time around 🤷‍♀️

It's hard to tell; also a teacher and everyone has been v different each time.

I don't think I got original covid; if I didn't d the jabs were effective.

I caught omicron in Jan/ Feb, the dip at 9/10 days was v real and lasted a while. At 7 I honestly thought I was on the mend.,I was off work for a month due to the fatigue and brain fog. Took another two to begin to feel better. I'd had the booster 5 weeks before.

This time I was quite poorly for the first 3-4 days but it has felt like the stages have all gone more quickly. I felt a lot brighter yesterday. Tongue back to normal. It's only day 6/7 though. No one else in the family has caught it this time!

So I feel I've built immunity. I'm also on double the amount of hrt - no idea if helps. I feel like it does!

With my first infection a hcp friend said the 10 day dip was v common and they were seeing it with omicron/ day people tended to be admitted.

So strange. Still, at least this time it’s term time 😂last year was bang smack in the middle of summer. I felt aggrieved 😂

I thought the 10 day dip referred to when your immune system started attacking your body causing cytokine storm and needing urgent hospital treatment? This was more before vaccines though.

I was told by a friend on the Covid wards that its always around the 10 day mark that people come in, but that it often seems to fluctuate with a late dip. I certainly felt much better around day 7 last time only to feel a lot worse 9,10,11 (and the following few weeks after that.) triple vax.

Most people coming in since last autumn are unvaccinated or elderly/ frail/ other underlying issues.

Thank you @CiderWithLizzie , I’m not remotely sciencey so that was interesting to look up!

I don’t think I’m in any danger of being hospitalised. I’m just... bored. 😂and looking back.

thanks all 👌
