Mine has been the headaches. I had aches and pains, which I get often so wasn’t too much of a problem, I usually get headaches but not this intense or often. It feels like my head is about to explode. I try not to take medication unless it’s necessary and I defo have been through a box of nurofens in the last few days. I also had runny nose and such but was very mild, so overall I’ve had it mild but the headaches omg 😱

Fatigue and the bone/joint pain

Bamaluz · 29/06/2022 13:55

Headaches for me too, but the loss of taste and smell also, because it took all the pleasure out of food.

Teacaketotty · 29/06/2022 13:56

Fatigue and nausea for sure, body aches only lasted a day or so but they were brutal too.

Nomad916 · 29/06/2022 14:12

Fatigue and nausea killing me. (And snotty nose/ not being able to sleep deeply)

Seeingadistance · 29/06/2022 14:13

I have Covid just now - tested positive on Monday night, and for me the cough is the worst. So painful, struggle to stop when started, and making me retch. Throat is incredibly sore as well.

Goldensunnydays81 · 29/06/2022 14:14

The shivering the first night was awful, now it is the tiredness and the loss of smell and taste!

spiderlight · 29/06/2022 15:33

It was the headaches and sinus pressure for me. It felt as if someone had shoved a brick up my nose.

fatherfurlong · 29/06/2022 16:02

Definitely the coughing till you retch and back pain which means having to ‘brace’ yourself before coughing. Now generalised tenderness all around my tummy from coughing. Just too fatigued to do anything. Getting up and down for the toilet felt a mammoth effort.
It’s the kind of ‘ill you feel as a child when your exposure to various illnesses is limited so when it hits you it knocks you for six.

Kanaloa · 29/06/2022 16:05

I had a really bad stomach. It was awful. Plus I was fevery and just totally knackered. I actually didn’t have a cough though, I was shocked when my test came back positive because I was convinced it was the flu or something and only got tested because a friend suggested it. I had thought that you had to have a cough.

Kanaloa · 29/06/2022 16:06

I also had the horrible headache - all that helped me was lying in my bedroom while it was dark and cool. Every noise from the neighbours made me furious even though they were just making normal noise but it felt like spikes in my brain.

butterflied · 29/06/2022 16:09

I coughed relentlessly for months. At points I cried myself to sleep because it just didn't stop. It was horrible.

BeyondMyWits · 29/06/2022 16:09

Headaches and woolly head feeling.

Second time round for me. First time it was all about the cough.

firef1y · 30/06/2022 05:47

The gross taste in my mouth was definitely the worst, everything else I could deal with (although I did only have mild symptoms). I would have preferred to lose taste completely rather than deal with its tasting like someone had thrown up in my mouth for weeks. Its almost gone now, but I constantly chewed on gum for a good couple of weeks.
Tbh the random bouts of exhaustion over a couple of weeks wasn't that much fun either as someone who is on the go and exercises in some form or other for a good couple hours a day.

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 30/06/2022 06:38

I’m thankful the fatigue isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, I get it often with another medical condition but it’s totally managable. I don’t have time to be Ill, I know loads of people are in the same boat but that’s how I feel. I’ve got 2 kids, one who’s autistic and a part time job so I literally am always on the go.

All of it . It was awful my whole body felt like jelly. I felt constantly ill. I could not even turn in my bed without getting out of breath. I could not get to the toilet it was awful.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 30/06/2022 07:32

I think fighting for breath and waking up at night drowning from fluid pouring into my lungs probably pipped the not being able to move without feeling like my heart was going to burst for the following nine months.

MrsAliceRichards · 30/06/2022 07:37

Eugh tested positive for a second time last night. First dose was quite mild, temp for about 48 hours and just felt a bit lethargic and that went on for a good few weeks after. Felt a little fluey last night so tested as dh currently positive and sure enough I have it. So far I feel a little like I'm waiting for a headcold to break. I did have a pounding head earlier in the week but better now. I'm feeling a little more scared this time as dh has had the most horrendous cough and chest and I'm praying mine won't go like that as I'm asthmatic and had doses like that all through childhood so it's kind of a general fear of getting those sort of doses again. Kids both negative and quite excited now that we're going to largely let them get on with it and try to keep our distance as best as possible. They'll probably be feral by the weekend.....

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 30/06/2022 07:39

Tested positive at the beginning of the week. Shivers, hot flushes and a horrific headache worst for me - no sign of a cough (yet). First time I've had it.

Shiningstarr · 30/06/2022 07:45

My symptoms were:

Completely bedbound and off legs (unable to walk to the bathroom or stand for long)

Extremely short of breath, peak flow 250 (usually 750)

Cough

Extreme fatigue

Nausea and vomiting

Dizziness

Horrible taste in mouth

Zonder · 30/06/2022 07:46

Exhaustion

drinkingwineoutofamug · 30/06/2022 07:50

My worst dose of covid was June 2020. It was the blisters on my hands and feet, blisters popped and my skin peeled off.
Followed by tiredness
2nd dose tiredness like I've never known it. Didn't get out of bed for 3 days which isn't me.
3rd dose the headaches, like a jack hammer in my brain .
Seriously don't want a 4th dose.

RockinHorseShit · 30/06/2022 08:05

The pancreatitis it left me with

RedorangeyellowBLACK · 30/06/2022 14:14

Started to feel crap on Tuesday night didn’t sleep at all, felt a bit ‘flue like’ and felt like it yesterday too but started to feel a bit better late afternoon and evening and actually slept well last night. Naively thought I was made of strong stuff and had fought it but today I feel awful.
Put the washing out this morning and now feel so exhausted like I’ve run a marathon!
But what I really hate is the feeling like I’ve dried out! My eyes feel like I’ve cried for days, my mouth and throat is so sore and dry, my skin is so tender and dry. I have a dry hacking cough and my face is so hot, I need a cold flannel to cool it but don’t have the energy to get to the bathroom!
Oh and the tender lower back ache is getting to me now too.

Chevyimpala67 · 30/06/2022 14:19

Covid induced tachycardia (hr of 140 at rest)
Worst sore throat I've ever had (worse than Glandular fever)
Severely swollen larynx (no voice for a few days)
Sores on roof of mouth

RedorangeyellowBLACK · 30/06/2022 14:19

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure I am just so glad my dc are teens, I really feel for you and those who have babies and younger dc. When mine were toddlers dh and I caught the bad swine flu which was going around, never have we felt so rough. We literally felt like we were laying dying on the sofa while our 3 and 5 years old were running wild round the house living off crisps and bread lol!
