My daughters passed out after vaccine??

we are going on holiday end of next week so decided to get both our girls jabbed this morning (5 and 8) to give them a bit of extra protection while away.

8 yo was fine but two hours after the jab we were having brunch out and my 5 yo just dropped her juice on the floor and went limp. I carried her to the car with hubby by which point she was completely white with very blue lips. She was totally unresponsive and her eyes were part open/part closed.

we took her to a&e and they did a load of tests including glucose, ecg, BP etc only thing that came back was low BP so I’m guessing she fainted but it was bloody scary.

just checking to see if anyone else has had this? I have a friend who’s DS took a funny turn after with something similar so wondering if this is a thing??

my girl is home and okay now but exhausted. Just worried about her. Interested if anyone else has had anything like this. TIA

Helpful as ever on the vaccine threads @loulouljh

Fainting after vaccination (or a blood test, or an injection, or indeed anything that your body percieves as stressful) is common.

This does not mean it's related to the components of the vaccine itself, but rather the process of having it done. HTH.

@Abraxan I think you must be friends with my mum!!

I've fainted after almost any procedure that requires a jab or a blood draw, including vaccines and my ears being pierced at 18. Pregnancy was fun...Hmm

Interestingly she is the same - I have an early memory of my mum fainting while having her own blood drawn, which makes me think we have a genetic predisposition to a vasovagal response.

I have read it - the post-authorisation safety data from Pfizer demonstrates just how safe their vaccine actually is @loulouljh

Are you able to articulate your concerns or are you just repeating posts you've seen on bitchute/facebook/telegram?

bronzepig · 27/06/2022 18:00

And never mind me reading it and being reassured (I could be anyone), why do you discount the thousands of scientists/physicians and other people with huge amounts of expertises, who have explained why this data is reassuring? @loulouljh

Instead you latch onto conspriacy theorists and nonsense posters and accuse others of being naive. It's ridiculous. Don't get vaccinated if you don't want to, don't attempt to coerce or terrify others with your nonsense.

Seriously.......clown world.

I guess that's a no in response to, "Are you able to articulate your concerns or are you just repeating posts you've seen on bitchute/facebook/telegram?"

My son is a fainter, he warned the nurse when he had his travel vaccinations but the nurse dismissed it and said he had never known a 6ft plus rugby built man to faint. Thankfully son insisted on having it on the bed and promptly fainted. Cue the nurse having a panic!

Hope your dc is feeling better.

Yes, fainting immediately after an injection is common. This happened hours later so clearly was not a vasovagal syncope but some other type of reaction, or unrelated to the vaccine.

Untrue

Hypotension can persist after the event, even if it's not immediately obvious. Extra stress on top of this (i.e., lots of walking, prolonged standing, not having food/drink) can trigger vasovagal syncope later on. @Cocothebear 's DD was still presenting with hypotension when she was in A&E.

Obviously, no one can say if this was the case or not, but you cannot catergorically say it wasn't. Presumably, A&E staff would have told OP if they thought it was a specific reaction to a component of the vaccine she had recieved.

Is @loulouljh a notorious anti vaxxer poster? Ha ha. Regular as clock work these ol’ crackpots.

Well they've failed to get the memo that most groups have moved onto anti-Ukraine, and now anti-abortion misinformation...

It's depressing. I saw an article earlier where the author was despairing that tackling the current threats (climate change, infectious disease) will never be possible when there's this level of organised disinformation occuring from various groups.
