If you went downhill on Day 7 and 8 - what happened?

Looking for reassurance really, although I've obviously also called 111 and am waiting for a call back.

I had the typical flu like symptoms for a week but could still play with DC (unenthusiasticly) if I also had lots of lying down.

Then yesterday I got a temperature, diarrhoea and vomiting. Worse today and I can hardly move. Tried to sit with the kids at the table and managed 5 minutes. Couldn't sit on the sofa without feeling really woozy. I can't eat and drinking water is a proper commitment.

I just read on the NHS website that going downhill is concerning. Before that, I'd assumed I just have to ride it out, but should I be worried?

Lost the oximeter and yes I do feel breathless but I think it's because I'm panicking!

How are you feeling now @chippingin2 ?

I was similar. Started to feel a bit better around day 6 or 7 then suddenly started with a high temperature and severe lower back pain and sciatica, nausea and diarrhoea. I felt so unwell. It lasted about another week with those symptoms then they gradually subsided. Don't panic, I think a lot of people got worse before they got better. Hope you feel better soon!

Actually a lot better @MyGiddyAunt1 - thank you for asking! 111 said I needed a call back within an hour but I didn't get one for 8 hours, by which time I was asleep.

But then I woke up feeling poorly but so much better. I can actually do the bare minimum today. And there's not the fear of getting progressively worse.

Unfortunately DH has it now, so it's still carnage with DC!

Thanks @Chippydippy . That's very reassuring. I don't really know anyone between "It was a mild cold" and "It was really serious"!

How are you feeling now?

Much better than I was thanks but I've got long covid, which tbh I've been suffering from since I first had covid back in 2020. Glad you're feeling better today!
