How long did child covid symptoms last?

3yo has covid. I just recovered from it and had 10 days off work. Now have to self isolate with him as a lone parent with another God knows how many days off work. When your child had symptoms, were they shortlived? I know it varies but I'm living in hope! My colleagues are going to hate me.

My 9 year old twins had it together with symptoms lasting 2 days, jumping wildly on the trampoline on day 3.

Hoping he will be the same! I'm so confused about how long he has to isolate for now.

Yes was very short lived for my two. My youngest didn't really have any symptoms at all. My oldest was poorly for one day then totally fine! Hopefully it will be short libed for her 💕

Short lived the first time they got it, 3 days tops. But DD11 had it again over Easter and still has some congestion. It also developed into tonsillitis so she's just finished a course of antibiotics.

Hope she feels nether soon bless her. My lo has been snotty for about a week now but never tested him as it was his only symptoms and he's snotty every other week. Hoping he's had it for a while and is coming to the end of it. He's only just developed a fever though...

@Ohsoworried thanks, she's a bit fed up of feeling rubbish now. Hopefully your LO will shake it off quickly.

Toddler has picked up bugs every other week at nursery since Christmas and been snotty most of this year so far! He was quite poorly with chicken pox and got covid at the same time. Which is why DD ended up with it again!

mine (8) fell ill at school on the Monday and tested positive once home.
Tuesday he was also a bit ill but not particularly. Was happy just lying on the sofa watching cartoons. Not much of an appetite.
he perked up that evening though and was right as rain from weds onwards
back at school on the Friday as per school guidance

DS had a heads for a day and a half, followed by a couple of days of being a bit tired. DD was ill with flu like symptoms for the best part of a week.

Two days exactly for both. And they were really very poorly

Headache that should say

My 7 year old had it. A slight runny nose for a couple of days and that was it. It was so mild I wouldn't even have thought to test her if I wasn't already positive at the time.
