Updated nursery guidance?

Has your nursery updated their covid guidance? If so what is it?

Ours doesn’t seem to have updated it yet, but when my schedule had a cough last week they didn’t ask for a test or to isolate so am assuming it has changed but they haven’t told us.

With everything else back to normal and life completely normal I guess it makes sense for nursery to have gone back to normal too but just not mentioned it?

When my DC had a cough, not schedule!

Ours hasn't officially said anything, but when I rang to let them know my son had Covid and what the procedure was they said they were grateful for us testing and they can't legally ask us to do anything, but other parents were keeping children off until they tested negative.

So we did that. I assume most parents aren't testing pre-schoolers, but if they are being responsible they're keeping them off until negative. They can't ask you to rest for a cough, but they would I assume send them home with a fever, like pre-Covid.

Yes they did say if she had a temperature they would send her home, but as she didn’t they didn’t. We aren’t testing DC anymore so looks like it’s reverted back to going in if we’ll enough (not having a temp).

We’ve been allowed inside since first April and no mention of testing/keeping home with symptoms anymore at all

Ours did a survey of parents and the overwhelming majority voted to keep the same verbal guidelines (test on a LFT if you have symptoms, stay home if you have a positive test for at least 5 days or until two negative tests). I'm not sure they're really policing it though unless a child has a temperature while they're at nursery. They seem okay with coughs now without proof that it's not Covid.

Yes ours have. No testing required. They’ve basically reverted to how it was in 2019, if they have a temp, you’ve gotta keep them off 24 hours. Sickness, 48 hours. And if they are not well enough to be in, then don’t send them. They can attend attend with coughs & colds etc.

However, if you do decide to test or happen to test positive at say a hospital appointment, then you must keep them off 3 days. If they are well, you can send them back on day 4. No testing required. For the adult staff, it’s 5 days.

I had forgotten it's only 3 days isolation recommended for a child now. I think ours is the same as yours now, just nursery haven't mentioned it. I might ask them to clarify. It would be so good not to have to worry about it every time my DC gets a cough!

Pretty sure ours is the same as yours now OP. My LO has a cough and they've not said anything. He's otherwise well in himself so 🤷‍♀️ not been asked to pick him up or not bring him in so guessing they've reverted back.
