My 4 year old DS has been coughing a lot this morning. He’s very snotty. But fine in himself and wants to go in, shall I send him?

Are you going to carry on with your weekend plans as normal and send him in next week? Or are you testing him?

Halfarsedjingler · 29/04/2022 07:09

Is this a new thing for him? Could you do a lateral flow? Personally I wouldn't especially at 4, a day at home will be better for him whatever is causing it.

Is he actually well enough to go to school?

Lissy23 · 29/04/2022 07:24

Yes he’s fine, no temp and running around as normal saying he wants to go to school.

Yes we will be continuing weekend plans as normal unless a temperature starts or he gets more unwell.

But he’s had this sort of thing before. Snotty nose which makes him cough as he can’t clear his nose properly.

We all had covid in February and although myself and my partner were very ill (myself more). He wasn’t really symptomatic at all.

We don’t have any Lateral Flows anymore.

You may as well send him then.

Our nursery are only asking us to keep children home if they have a temperature now.
