CEV, positive and struggling with o2 sats

So I'm on the antivirals since Tuesday and I'm hoping they start to work soon. I tested positive on Saturday and have been monitoring my o2 levels as instructed. When I'm lay down they sit between 96-98 which is great. But they've been getting progressively worse if I move around, even if I need to nip to the loo. It leaves me really breathless with chest pain. Do you think I need to mention it to anyone?

Yes.

I'd start with the unit you are under for the condition that makes you CEV. If that's hard to get through to, then 119

If you need attention now, they should be able to arrange for you to be seen. If it's wait a bit longer, they should be able to tell you at what threshold you need to call again.

I am CEV and would quakify for anti virals. I had covid last year before antivirals and was monitored by oximetry at home (don't know if that still exists). They told me to go to A&E if O2 dropped below 92% which it did and I was admitted. Was quite poorly at that point.

How low are they going? You almost certainly need urgent medical attention.

Thanks for the replies.

Apparently the request for oximetry at home wasn't able to be completed (according to my medical records) but don't know if thats because it doesn't exist or if they're just a bit rubbish.

Lowest I've got to was 89-90 but generally its between 93-96. If I lay still I can get it to 98 but as soon as I move around it drops again. I feel slightly better covid-wise today although had another crap nights sleep. In a lot of pain with my spinal issues today.

Yes, you need to get checked out. Please call someone. Before 94 is not great.

Please get checked out and take care

I was under the covid at home programme at the hospital. The doctor explained that anything above 92 was ok - under 90 was time for action. You are supposed to test resting - and allow a few minutes for the monitor to settle at one number.
