Accompanying someone to a&e

Hi all
I wondered if you could help I live in south east England and I can not find a straight answer anywhere.
Basically my father needs to go to a&e has been told by his Dr but is your typical old school "I've never needed doctors or hospitals before" type. He is willing to go but will not go until tomorrow. Underneath all this he is nervous and worried and I really want to go with him but am I aloud to with rules in hospitals?

Hi, OP!

I believe it varies from trust to trust... in my trust (south east london) we only allow the patient into a&e unless there is an additional needs exemption.

Hope this helps!

Can't speak for the hospital but sounds like he needs you there as a chaperone/advocate. It's not like you're going along just for the fun of it.
I'd take him there but prepare him for the fact you may have to wait outside if the hospital say no.
