CV who have had 4 jabs

I had 3 primary and a booster but it's been a while since the booster.

I am concerned about waning immunity over the summer months and wondering if we are likely to be offered a top-up jab pre Autumn - I did read somewhere about a 5th jab but it was a one off article.

I also read somewhere that anti-virals were being phased out but I can't now find that. This concerns me too.

I know that I am pretty much valued as worthless by the Government and Society even though I am currently working and paying tax and contributing to the economy.

The 2nd booster programme apparently starts today.

The recommended timing after one’s first booster is apparently 3 months or 6 months, depending on what article / source one reads. I was going to read the actual JCVI guidelines today - will link if I find them.

I finally had my 4th jab in late January (3 primaries and a booster) no thanks to my GP practice who have sadly been consistently unhelpful. The record keeping issues are still a huge (related) issue as well.

If I decide to have a 5th jab I’ll use a walk in centre again.

I can’t seem to find the JCVI guidance specifically for this 2nd booster programme. I’m trying to ascertain exactly which groups will be included.

..........................................................................................................
"The spring booster campaign 2022
In February 2022, recognising the small decline in observed vaccine effectiveness against
hospitalisation for COVID-19 after the booster dose, JCVI recommended a spring booster
campaign for individuals at higher risk of severe COVID-19. Many of the oldest adults received
their booster vaccine dose in September or October 2021, and protection against severe
disease is expected to continue to wane gradually by the autumn. As a precautionary strategy,
an extra spring dose is being advised, to sustain protection whilst JCVI continues to review the
epidemiological situation, ahead of an expected booster programme in autumn 2022.
The committee recommended that a booster dose should be given around 6 months after
the last vaccine dose to:
● adults aged 75 years and over
● residents in a care home for older adults, and
● individuals aged 12 years and over who are immunosuppressed (defined as
immunosuppressed in tables 3 or 4).
The vast majority of people aged over 75 will reach an interval of around six months from
their previous dose between March and June 2022. Although vaccination should ideally be
offered around six months from any previous dose, operational flexibility may be used. For
example, individuals in care homes or housebound patients may be offered the booster
alongside other residents providing there is at least three months from the previous dose.
Immunosuppressed individuals who have received an additional primary dose may have
received the booster (fourth) dose more recently. These latter individuals and other eligible
people who received their last vaccine more recently should also be offered the booster
during the spring campaign providing there is at least three months from the previous
dose. This will ensure they have additional protection against a potential summer wave
and will align with their peers to facilitate an autumn programme.

"Someone in an eligible group who has received a full course of primary vaccination (two or
three doses) but has not received their first booster by March 2022, may be given the spring
booster in the campaign provided there is at least three months from the previous dose. An
additional dose is not then recommended before the autumn. The vaccines offered should
follow the age-appropriate advice as for other reinforcing doses (see below). [cont]"

I also read somewhere that anti-virals were being phased out but I can't now find that.

I received a letter in January telling me I would be eligible for antivirals if I tested positive, and was also sent a priority PCR.

I tested positive last Saturday and after three days of to-ing and fro-ing was told that the guidance had changed in the past couple of weeks and I was no longer eligible.

I've had my three primary doses, a booster and will be eligible for another booster six months after my last. I'm CEV - I have an autoimmune condition and take immunosuppressant drugs for it. Someone I know with the same condition, on the same medication as me, also caught Covid last week and was told the same as me. So they definitely seem to be doing away with the antivirals, for some patients at least.

I'm now on day 9 with covid and am still testing very, very positive and am feeling so ill. DH and DD who caught it at the same time have been negative and well for days.

I've had 4. Not looking forward to a 5th if needed - number 4 sent my periods wonky and I've been bleeding pretty much every day since

This is my worry. I’m on immune suppressants but very very targeted ones. If I get I’ll there is nobody to look after me. I have been ill with autoimmune disease thanks to a virus for so long, I’m not doing it again. I’ve made preparations and bought goodbye gifts for my DC.
Hope you get better soon
